Solid mechanism. Just played Thanos Rising and was not expecting to like it as much as I did.
@William Garcia They are definitely getting their use for "re-sleeving" this game ... but it is a fun dice chucker. :)
Now I just need to get the Spongebob Squarepants version. lol
I'll have to see if I can get the force on my side this weekend when we try it! Cool video
You certainly have a way with the force when it comes to rolling dice!!
Thank you for the playthrough, it was very helpful. We're now about to play our first game! :D
Thanks for watching ... and may the Force be with you. ;)
@@DaletheCasualGamer We have played two games. The first game we got our butts handed to us -- we actually lost FIVE rebels on the last turn. Very poor management of damage tokens, obviously! We lost 13 Rebels to Dark Side 5 lost, and the Death Star was nearly done. The second game, we did much better, the Death Star was still nearly done, but we took out 7 Imperial forces and lost only 6 Rebels. :D We couldn't have done it without ya!
Congrats on the win. Glad I could assist!
This was a great playthrough to watch! Thank you very much for sharing. I haven't won yet. Question: when you throw the Darth Vader die and the 'reroll the Death Star die' comes up, don't you have to damage the rebels in the sector Darth Vader is in afterwards? I see you skipped that a few times. Just rules-checking, I love the playthrough.
Oops! You are correct, the Rebel scum cheated! ;) Good catch!
Great video Dale! Do you have a twitter and/or facebook account? I can't seem to find them, but I love your videos :)
@ Crits Happen Thanks, much appreciated! I've been a fan of Crits Happen for a while!!
I haven't been too active on other platforms. I have a website at dalethecasualgamer.com/ , facebook at facebook.com/thecasualgamer.biz/ , and haven't ventured into the twitterverse yet.
Sad I missed out on this, hard to find it now T_T
@Ric Cruz I had to order a copy from the UK as it wasn't released in the US.
Oh thaaats why 😂 guess Ill have to check on eBay
Very nice!!! I like this game))) Thanks !!!
Thanks! If I was adept in the force I could have saved a few more lives. ;)

and there is ...
Hello there! Awesome vid, was really clear and made me want to buy this game soon enough! However, can you (or anyone else) tell me what card sleeve size is required for these, please? On a forum they said "standard" size but the actual size would be easier as not all "standard" sleeves are the same! :P
@Ulthorn Thanks for watching! I typically use Fantasy Flight Sleeves (63.5x88mm), but DragonShields also work (63x88mm). And in inches, "Standard" card game sleeves are 2.5" x 3.5". Hope that helps!
@@DaletheCasualGamer Thanks for the VERY quick and clear answer! Subbed and I'll be sure to check more of your vids. :)
23:29 well he is Force sensitive soo :D But indeed, he quite knows where to go :D
Vader can definitely sense my thoughts. :)
When the star destroyer activates wouldn’t it affect your team if you’re in the sector as well?
I’ve just got this game myself recently and trying to work out all the rules
We failed epically 1st few tries as we didn’t know we had to remove our player tokens between turns
@kirsty050 Thanks for watching, I know longer have the rules to doublecheck, but I believe so. May the Force Be With You in your next play! :)
Question does someone have to play as the Empire aswell?
46:03 Hyperdrive though :D
Hey, you cheated all along the way! You can't assign dices to different cards in a single roll!!! 😄😄😄
I definitely missed that part in the rulebook, I read it as you can put any dice on cards in that sector, not just a single card. Can you point me to the specific rule? I want to get it right, since they make several games using this system. Thanks!
@@DaletheCasualGamer You know what? Thanks to you, I notice a difference between the 2 rulebooks of Thanos rising and Dark force rising. In page 8 of Thanos rising:"... and can only assign to one (and only one) of the assets in their sector with each roll." In page 8 of Dark force rising, there is no such precision. Have they forgotten or did it on purpose?
I read it on BGG. One of the designers said it was the same rule that Thanos rising: one card per roll. But for Death eaters, it is possible to assign more than one card per roll.
And others designers say the contrary! 😄😄😄
Thanks for letting me know what you found out! I'm sure game designers go through so many rules iterations during the design process, that it's hard to keep everything straight. And for that matter, the same with me ... I play so many different games, it's hard to get all the rules right ... but as long as we have fun, that's what really matters. :)
