My 5-year-old son and I used some of these knots for our recent camping trip. Thank you.

Ugh. Took me so many tries to get that 3rd one. Phew. This video is great to reference back to. Cuz I need it. Don’t ever delete.

Literally the best knot video I've ever seen (and I've seen a fair few). The rope/background contrast is really good - it's clear what is going on with the various loops. Lots of info in a short video, but it's not overwhelming. Thanks for going through the applications as well - super useful. Definitely going to refer to this in the future.

Wow - thanks! The first few videos on my channel were actually about knot tying, but looking back now they’re probably a bit too slow/boring for the avg RUclips viewer. I tried to correct that in this one.

Thank you. I used this today to tie three taut line hitches for guy lines on an antenna. Beautifully explained.

Great video! Thanks. I'd use the clove hitch on guy lines just like you use the taut-line hitch. Wrap the line around the peg once then tie the knot on the line itself. Do more than one, each a few inches apart, if you want more grip. Alternatively, you can put in more than two loops. It is one of the most versatile knots for many applications.

Interesting. I’ve not tried a Clove Hitch for that before.

Very cool video/demo! Every few years I commit to learning knots, but then I don't use them and I forget how to tie them. (Sad face).

Hey - thanks! I’d just start with the bowline and taut line hitch. They’re fairly easy and you can do a ton with just those 2.
