    Although it is useful to set the CRS is it only required (for the autopilot) when you are in VOR mode - in RNAV mode the CRS is ignored and the aircraft will fly directly to the Beacon or VOR. In order to do an ILS landing you must be tuned into the correct VORDME for the runway and set CRS as runway direction. This aircaft does have Autopilot in the sim but there are no actual AP controls in the cockpit. All AP functions work using key or other control bindings - HDG, NAV (using RNAV, VOR or TACAN if you set the correct mode in the cockpit). ALT and VS also works in AP. It is probably an oversight of the developer that they left this in as I'm pretty sure that this aircraft does not actually have an autopilot . Very glad they did though. APP (Approach) also works and the aircraft is capable of a full Instrument Landing System approach using the AP..
    Has become my default aircraft :-)

      How do you punch in frequencies? Or do you have to map the flight plan out in the world map menu to ILS land the MB-339?
      And if you don't mind me asking - what keys did you bind for this stuff? I was under the assumption this plane was pre-auotopilot days, so I figured I could attempt to use whatever basic navigation that works in the 152, would work the same in this. However, it does seem a little different.

    I believe the 252K is actually your groundspeed derived from the onboard GPS? @ 5:14 Or is that only when no RNAV is selected? Still learning to transition to this sports car from the A320 and the steam gages confuse me at times :D

      @@untitledprojects85 your DME is to left of you course select on your HSI. I do not have such a devise on my plane I only have a VOR glide slope, no DME but I know how to use an HSI. Good video nice navigation. If you are going a bit too fast go a little low cut power back then climb back up to you proper altitude with lower power setting. That will slow you down quite well. You can experiment with how much each variable is needed to make it come out right but I work quite well even with real aircraft and is an excellent way to slow down slippery clean aircraft especially ones WITHOUT airbrakes.

    On Xbox series I can't do the check-list by myself and start the plane at the very beginning but the system does it. Does anyone know how to do it ? (I couldn't fond the solution with "assistance option").

    How do you fly level at a altitude hold if that makes sense?

    • @samjordan32
      @samjordan32 3 года назад

      You need to use trim to get your climb rate level. It's a bit of a faff, but it's doable. Altitude hold is only going to show you the level, not keep it for you as it's only a flight director not an auto pilot. good luck!

    does this plane have autopilot?

    • @rickysmith844
      @rickysmith844 3 года назад +5

      Yes but there are no AP controls in cockpit. It works in sim using key or control bindings. ALT, NAV, VS, HDG and APP all work fine.
      For navigation you can use RNAV to fly directly to a VOR or beacon. You can use VOR mode to use a CRS with a VOR and for ILS landing when tuned to a runway LOC VOR .In MSFS you can create a flight plan using VOR to VOR - this is loaded into the rudimentary RNAV flight planner on board which will be used by RNAV to fly directly between the VOR's once approaching the airport you will need to switch to VOR mode in cockpit and tune NAV1 to the localizer frequency. The autopilot setting remains on NAV both for RNAV and VOR modes in the cockpit. When you switch from RNAV to VOR then the aircraft will fly to that VOR intercepting the radial depending on the CRS you have set.
