      If you don't draw, it's kinda hard to compare these two tablets, it's the whole ios vs android thing, main points of comparison, screen, speakers, camera. Software wise it's all completely subjective

    This is the first iPad Pro comparison video I've seen that actually informs me of some of the setbacks people don't talk about. Everyone is always raving about the same things, the pencil and Procreate. The photos and external display management are highly annoying to me personally and I need to be able to just hook my tablet up to the Windows machine and transfer photos immediately without using iTunes. So thank you! This makes it easier for me to choose the Samsung.

      @@anonymhous8875 Not only that. After updating to iOS 16, Google Street View app is now broken. Granted, the app will be terminated in Mar 21 this year despite its popularity, who knows it might still be usable if we roll back to an older version, something easily done on Android. That's on Android. On iOS 16, the system always forces the app to rotate to portrait. Every 360 picture you click on, it reverts to portrait. This only happened after the update.

      It’s a great review. Though it’s still an overpriced review. I know a lot of artists already have an iPad Pro (I do as well) ‘cause that was the only iPad available to use the Apple Pencil a lot of years. It’s only been about 2 years since Apple made it that all lines of iPads can use the Apple Pencil. Of course only the versions that came out a couple of years ago. I think that when the iPad 7th Gen come out (that’s the basic iPad on its 7th Generation), regular iPad 7th Gen people could start to get the Apple Pencil 1 for $100 or The Crayon for about $70 and buy the regular iPad for about at lowest $350-$450 usd depending on if Apple is having a sale (usually at Best Buy stores online and in-stores). I don’t know about Samsung if they have a cheaper equivalent to their S7 line of tablets that come with the stylus and do almost all of the same things that their S7 lines can do. For people on a budget, the regular iPad (starting from the 7th Gen) is worth the buy. Though if people prefer Samsung, I don’t know if they have a cheaper alternative that’s the equivalent to the regular iPad 7th Gen and 8th Gen.

Krita is on android now too, in beta though... android is definitely catching up, I just wish the procreate team would figure out a cost affective way of developing an Android version. I chose the tab s7+ because of the second screen capabilities (as i often work on a laptop) which you described very well. I set it up on my home computer, launched sktechbook pro and had no problem whatsoever to sketch something. I actually have an xppen 15.6 artist pro and I can go from the tab s7+ using the super smooth spen and both fingers to zoom and rotate to the artist pro to use the bigger screen and more ergonomic pencil. The drawback is in that the pressure sensivity is different but both are very good and can be calibrated. So far it works with both artrage and sketchbook and it failed with clip studio. So thank you again.

      @danielmclaren170890 2 года назад

      Would you recommend doing so?

    • @hervemarschall8456
      @hervemarschall8456 2 года назад

      @@danielmclaren170890 I kept both because I liked the bigger estate of the artist pro and the freedom of the tab S7+. I would say that it depends on your own use of the artist 15.6 : Does its' size and need for a computer prevents you from creating art you feel you would be able to create somewhere else ? Or do you fill hindered when drawing on smaller sized spaces (the with is actually 4 cm less than a A4 sheet of paper). Before buying the tab S7+, i cut some paper sheets in the size and shape of tab s7+ screen and it helped me a lot. Just be aware that the pen tips feel different (even though they are both very good) maybe because of the screen which is somewhat slipery-er.
      If you're on the fence for other reasons, I can only give my own opinion on how I use android apps. For example Concept can help you overcome the lack of estate (as it's a vectorial app very useful for sketching), infinite painter and artrage are also nice to have. If you don't mind the subscription, I believe clip paint studio android can do anything you do on PC (and it's compatible). You can even take a photo of someone and it will try to replicate it's pose on a 3D model. If you are used to importing photoreferences on your tablet, the tablet's smaller size may be an issue and I would recommend using DEX since the shortcuts are available and it's easier to manage multiple windows (I'm using a 1by one btooth keyboard that works very well with my tab and is both light and inexpensive).
      Last pro : there is enough battery for my use and it's fastest charge is actually fast.
      That was maybe too long an answer for a simple question. I hope it helped.

So in reality functionality and usability they both are just as good and effective. the only differences in performance are going to negligible and just personal preference. The Screen looks nicer on the Samsung s7+ and it has the ability to play xbox games on their where the ipad doesnt, the cost is cheaper and comes with the pen instead of buying one for $100+ more dollars. @Raj Neo 5:30 OLED display is really great...but 120hz oled display has many problems that are still being solved like poor white balance, lower resolution, fast battery drain and fast color degradation. Also android manufacturers are really not great in implementations as they prefer being first. The OLED display for example. it is far from color accuracy like in iPhones and not good in near black handling....it's all about processor esp Apple uses Samsung OLED panels. Like different cooks and cooking processes but same ingredients ruclips.net/video/7XAfBAi0wCg/видео.html Samsung Note models and tab s7+ are probably the closest but most android phones are far from accuracy etc due to processor. Same with Sony monitors with LCD vs same LCD panel in poor color accuracy cheap LCD TVs
      Even iPhone's 720LCD is not same to 1080p LCD in android phones due to processor even if same panels. ruclips.net/video/dcFXEXJicgc/видео.html
      I'll wait for Apple to solve it esp AI for screen burn in prevention since computers like tablets has the highest risk of screen burn ins due to many static images.......and finally make OLED iPads that will be durable for next 10 years without color degradation etc and color accurate too. Near black handling is another issue where oled becomes too dark that it loses details in dark areas unlike in LCD or OLED with great processor like in Panasonic and Sony OLED tv despite same oled panel from LG whose oled tvs are not color accurate and poor in nearblack handling as tested by HDTVtest. Shades of grey becomes inky blank in poor near black handling
      Apps, real support, durability for 10+years and still smooth etc is another issue.

    Really good, unbiased review. The tab S7+ seems to be far better value for money because the iPad is much more focused on creativity, which is not the majority of people. A few things to point out, on android you don't need to long press every item when selecting many files, just one time then you can tap the rest. Also pricing varies drastically based on country/region so maybe consider showing a variety of prices. In New Zealand (my home country) the prices are significantly higher when converted to USD. Same thing here in the Philippines where I currently am, the price for an iPad 12.9 inch for example is about $1120 for the base model and that's from a "cheaper" third party store, not the Apple store.
    Anyway great review overall. Even though I'm not a creative type, I am still leaning toward getting another iPad simply because they have better resale value and I usually upgrade my tech every 1-2 years but the Tab S7+ is really amazing value for money.

So I am using that as a tablet for my 5 year old son and got this 9th gen version. MUCH faster, a little slimmer, smaller bezels, all around a leap forward. Plus, for the price that’s about $130-$150 cheaper than a current new model this is a nice deal. I look forward to the M-series CPUs coming into iPads which will really help future proof these tablets better but these latest CPUs are pretty strong and should do better to last several years with no compromises.

    Sharing the experience:
    All videos on comparison or review are stick to note-taking, it seems like all RUclipsrs are Apple's notebook salesmen and selling it to students. Few are covering drawing or video editing too, but how many artists are there! Or some are just talking about specifications like Chip, Speakers, Cable, Ram, Storage or refresh rate, unlocking speed in nano-second difference, thickness, which iPad support which pencil or keyboard, we know them. We need review not specification. No One shares the actual experience working on an iPad or Android tablet.
    I'm sharing my experience for business/job people:
    If you are a seller:
    -If you are a seller on social media then Gallery Management is good in Android as you can easily manage folders. iPad folders are bad. Even selecting multiple items on iPad is time-consuming where you have better in Samsung with touch and drag.
    -if you copy and paste a lot, then Samsung is better because it has a good clipboard and remembers many copied items together, you can paste them together.
    -Whatsapp, FB, and Instagram Automatic reply apps save time which are on Android not on iOS.
    -Whatsapp is not available on the iPad.
    If you need for general office use:
    -MS Office: You can open two files at a time with multi window. You need to buy MS Office 365 for Rs. 4200 per year. Free is only viewing, not editing. (Both iPad/Android). It can't replace your laptop.
    -Email experience is almost the same on both of them.
    -File sharing and file opening is poor on iPad as it doesn't open Zip Files.
    -if you like using multiple accounts on Whatsapp or Skype, then Samsung offers dual messenger which installs one more same app on the device for the second account. Besides this, Android has Skype lite also which means you can run 3 Skype on one tablet.
    -importing/exporting from pc to tablet is easier on Android, you can transfer anything. On iPad, you can transfer limited things.
    -iPad offers automation settings like if this happens then do this, which is nice.
    -searching in device: Apple does is faster.
    From Brands:
    -Apps on the iPad App Store are better than apps on Samsung because many developers make apps for iPad but not for Samsung.
    -Support: you get more support on iPad from Apple, like software updates with new features but Samsung is slow in it and leaves you after some time. No updates, no new features.
    -Resale value: both poor.
    -Repair or Maintenance: Apple is more expensive.
    -Privacy: I believe privacy is not only about locking the device, but also when you handover your unlocked device to someone, where Samsung wins because it has a secure folder (transfer any app or content there and access there only) as well as a private gallery.
    -Samsung Dex looks cool but not so good because apps are not customized for this. Samsung own apps and few apps work fine in Dex, so not that effective.
    -iPad gets connected to Apple devices nicely, even screen sharing, file sharing etc.
    For you:
    Samsung: Media, Seller, normal job, Gallary, Privacy from friends/family, General Things, Organizing things,
    Apple: Student, Artists, Privacy from outside world, Apps, have iPhone & Macbook, Show-off,

      what do you mean with "you can transfer limited things on ipad" ? i've never had an apple product and was thinking of getting an ipad for drawing but if i can't transfer as many files as i want to pc / from pc then wtf.....

    • @parul2002
      @parul2002 3 года назад

      @@chiefd13 images and videos can be transferred via file manager by just plugin. Other documents, music, movies or sketching format files or psd can be transferres via iTunes only and that will directly go to the app.
      For example, if you need to transfer photoshop file, first you must have photoshop installed in ipad, then you will open iTunes on laptop and go to File Sharing > Photoshop and upload psd file, you cannot select any other format if you are uploading for photoshop. Once you upload and save, you will see the file in Photoshop app in iPad. You cannot find it in file manager. So basically you can only transfer those files for which you have an app to open it on iPad.
      For sketching purpose, I recommend iPad over Samsung. iPad Air 2020 will be a good choice, you might feel 64Gb as less storage so you can go for higher storage option too if needed. For sketching, matte finish screen guard with give you more stability on pencil movement but be informed it will fray pencil nib faster than normal use which you will need to replace soon that is not so much expensive.

      @@parul2002 thank you for this information. is all this because Apple uses different file formats than Androids for their media? this is kinda inconvenient ngl. but at the same time it's prolly even more inconvenient that on Samsung Tabs you only have Clip Studio Paint and that's it when you can have Photoshop and Procreate and a bunch of other software for drawing on iPads. also I'm hearing the Apple Pencil is relatively expensive so if it wears out quickly... idek if it's worth it at this point

    • @parul2002
      @parul2002 3 года назад

      @@chiefd13 yes apple pencil is expensive, it's maintenance cost also when nib is damaged and on the other side samsung offers it at free. I recommended Apple just because of apps in app store, if all of your useful apps are available in android also then samsung is good because you can simply plugin and drag any item to samsung file manager, no matter it is supported by device or not, you can use it as storage and transfer also. Besides this, new feature of samsung that sync your copy-paste clipboard is amazing. For example, you like one picture in your samsung phone, just copy it from phone and paste it in tablet and start editing it. This is cool.

The colors on the "vivid" display setting are just so superior, you can get bright saturated neon colors that you just can't get on "natural." Everything just "pops" so much better.. it's eye candy. I don't recommend using "natural" at all.. the colors are ugly in comparison.

      @PomuLeafEveryday 4 года назад +8

      Vivid is nice, but if you're painting, you have to consider what your client, boss or audience might see when you send/upload it. It's best to use natural because it shows the most accurate colors, and is most likely what other people would see, so you need to make it look as good as possible on natural. If it looks good in vivid, it's possible that it looks crap on other people's screens because you didn't take their screens into consideration. While something done in natural will always look good in vivid, so it's best to just use natural when doing art as default.

    • @theskyspire
      @theskyspire 4 года назад +2

      @@PomuLeafEveryday I disagree. A true artist cares more about what his own eyes see, not what others see. The fact is that the "natural" mode displays less colors, it represents a much narrower color gamut. It's more important to stay true to the vision of the artist than to dilute the inspiration by weakening the artist's tools. It is the difference between a 5 star chef and McDonald's cook. If you want to tweak original awesome art later on a lesser display, you always have the freedom to do that at the end. @@theskyspire That's an artist for the sake of being an artist then. Not a commercial artist who has a job to make art for a product, I really don't recommend working like this if you have a client or a job.
      Vivid mode is really distorted and doesn't represent what the majority see, and your boss/client will be really pissed at you if they end up seeing really different to what you drew. Vivid mode can lead to undersaturation of your colors, because the screen oversaturates it for you.
      And Natural doesn't display less colors at all, where'd you get this from? It just means the colors are closer to how the eye would see it, while vivid saturates the image for you making everything pop, which is nice for a consumer, but not an artist. Nothing is limiting the range of colors available, Samsung has the best displays available with some of the best color ranges.

    Thank you for another terrific review; you've told me everything I need to know. Almost everything--I'll probably go for the Samsung tablet, but I'm going to give it a little more time and wait for early adopters to find out what the problems crop up after a month or so, and if they can be solved. There are always problems with everything in tech!

      @@filthyimpetuoussoul6220 5:30 OLED display is really great...but 120hz oled display has many problems that are still being solved like poor white balance, lower resolution, fast battery drain and fast color degradation.
      If for file system...laptop is better option. Or use ravpower file hub for ipads..

    I might snatch the Galaxy S7+ once it falls in price, the fact it has an SD card reader, and after a few months CSP probably be over its android beta test phase, by then.
    If only Apple would implement sd card readers, having an extra potential 500gb without having to pay an arm, would be neat. My 2017 ipad pro is always gasping for space...

    Hey Guys, here my full input after my experience with Multiple S Pen Tabs, and multiple ipads using for art for a few years now.
    Ive owned: Tab s4, Tab S6 Lite, Tab S7+, Tab S8 Ultra. IPad Air 2, iPad Pro 2018 12.9, M1 Mini Led iPad Pro 2021 12.9, ipad mini 6 2021
    I love my Tab s7+ and my Tab S8 Ultra, but I have to be completley honest. Apple Penci (2) is so incredibly superior to S Pen in everyway. After using Apple Pencil with my iPad Mini 6, I hate drawing with the S Pen. I hate the squishy rubber tip because it trails and rolls around. Although I did find a nice hard white tip for the S Pen which feels so much better. It also feels too light and cheap and its hard to control because its so light. Apple Pencil is a great thickness and weight. The only Big negative about Apple Pencil is that it has to be charged to be used. I dont even use the bluetooth features on my S pen so i feel like the apple pencil really doesnt need Bluetooth when it doesnt even have wireless features like the S Pen. But the Apple Pencil has perfect pressure senses and draws directly on contact, you dont need to put pressure for it to recognize, unlike the S Pen. Oh, and Procreate is the best Pixel Drawing app out of any operating system, i like it better than Photoshop, and Adobe Fresco has both regular pixels AND vector too, and not available on Android. So as far as art goes, iPad with 2nd Gen Apple Pencil wins by a long shot. And Mini Leds looks and feels better than Samsungs Oleds. Its much better and brighter outdoors as well.
    I would highly suggest the M1 Mini-Led 12.9" iPad Pro for all Artwork.
