- A few days ago, the internet was shocked to hear the news of Poonam Pandey's passing from cervical cancer. But in a few days, news broke that she was alive and she had done this stunt to promote awareness about cervical cancer.
Her stunt has divided the internet. Some people called her brave for using her platform to talk about cervical cancer. Others called her move insensitive to people who fight against cancers.
Abhi and Niyu address the whole issue by talking about cervical cancer, why it is important, and how early detection can help Indian women save their lives. They also talk about Poonam Pandey and the whole incident and its purpose.

Dr Ravi Kumar Sharma is this side, Assistant professor department of Respiratory Medicine.
Indeed both of you are doing a great Job.
The survival of cancer is usually measured over 5 year period in most studies.
So 95%survival over 5 years should be more appropriate.
However in practice those who are diagnosed in satge 1 of cervical cancer can live much better life for duration even more than 5 years.
Again my best wishes and warm regards for both of you ....

Hi! I'm a Doctor, and would like to draw your attention to much less known fact- HPV vaccine isn't only for women. Even guys should take it, to reduce the risk of getting infected and thence transmitting the virus to their partners. Yes, even males should be vaccinated, that would help. National program targets women, as they are at high risk, and of course,due to economic reason. Maybe in the forecoming years, the programme would extend vaccinating male counterparts too. So, if you're a male, and can afford, please go ahead with HPV vaccination, after consulting your doctor. That would be like an insurance for you as well as your partner.
One more fact here- When talked about permanent methods of sterilization, it is mostly thought of applicable to women (by tubectomy).
Vasectomy (Male sterilization)isn't regarded most of the times. In fact, Vasectomy is a no scalpel outpatient procedure these days, with much lesser complications, as compared to tubectomy, which is relatively more invasive and associated with a bit more complication in women counterparts.
P.S : Women should also be aware of periodic self breast examination and screening mammography against Breast cancer. U can watch youtube videos made by doctors/healthcare workers to know about self examining breast.
I am a 10 grader student and when I heard that news of Poonam I was little curious to know which type of cancer is it and hatts off u guys u explained so well and coincidence is today I completed my biology syllabus so it is easy to understand female reproductive system 😊😅
