love your videos brother!!! quick question, how do you choose different locks for fps? usually in the game settings of whatever your playing it only has a locked 30 or locked 60 mode ...some games offer 90 and 120 locks or you can put on vertical sync but most don't have all those different fps lock options...but how are you able to choose your own FPS locks? i also have a Zotac GeForce 4070 Super gpu....what was that little screen you brought up at 4:14?
The best way to cap FPS is by using Guru3D RTSS Rivatuner. It does a better job of limiting FPS while maintaining smooth performance, compared to some built-in FPS caps in games, which don’t perform as well. And you can choose to cap FPS at any value you like.

As long as the application is running, the cap will apply to all your games. To unlock the FPS, just type in 0.

Witcher 3 is indeed very VRAM hungry game, if you use RT and FG simultaneously. It is strange, since Cyberpunk and Alan Wake 2 use just as much VRAM, but look a lot better. Most UE5 games, like Wukong, use even less VRAM. I think the issue here is an old version of RED engine, which can not work properly with new tech (RT and FG).
@@stangamer1151 Cyberpunk and Alan Wake 2 were made with the RT technology embedded, Witcher 3 was already a finished game that had those features tacked on after the fact. It's just harder to optimize that way.
So? Its vram allocation not real usage. That show u utulize card in 100% maybe witcher is 11gb but even wukong in 4k dlss is not using 9xd with framegen maybe but stilll works without hitch. Depending on the games even the beast of a 4090 can drop below 60 fps in 4k native.... with DLSS and Frame Gen 4070 super is probably the lowest you will want to go if your goal is 4k res personally I am waiting for something that can do 4k native better than a 4090 before i upgrade from a 3080... and if you are not like me with a fairly decent card but looking to upgrade you'll find much better deals in the used market on 30 series cards like the 3080 and 3080ti over brand new 40 series if you are ok with not having Frame gen which tends to add latency anyway so is only really useful in singleplayer games. 40 series cards are overpriced for what you get and Nvida is only going to keep raising the prices if we all keep buying them.
When 12GB becomes a real issue, both of these GPUs will be running modern games at 1080p/low. Games are getting more and more demanding almost every month.
do not compare the reserved vram with the actually used vram. the reservation is usually higher than the actually used vram. you can display such things in the msi afterburner overlay. and note the better compression of the data on nvidia cards.
Short answer: No. Unless you turn all settings to low. Long answer: It'll run sure... but it won't be "4k" at all or enjoyable unless you tolerate console performance. "With Raytracing WOW!!" at 540p render + A.I. upscaling. Anything that has UE5 won't play "4k" well or even 1080p unless you have fake resolution upscaler DLSS on a 4090 with frame gen. While I understand the premise of this video, I think it would be good to see some benchmarks for older games like the witcher 3 next gen or RDR 2 or even fallout 4 in a separate video with 4k in mind. Given how disppointing some of the new releases were this year and the disgusting pricing of these new gpus, it wouldn't be a far fetched idea to just see how much value they can add for someone, who is looking for nostalgia. There I think unironically AMD might have a huge technological advantage due to AFMF and anti-lag being driver level features. For example, this way fallout 4 can easily reach 120 fps instead of the locked 60 fps... right?

This needs to be said… They need to be called out. There is an erroneous saying in the American automotive industry that states, “there is no replacement for displacement.” This refers to engine size and power, keeping things simple as I’m no expert. For example, if a manufacturer wanted to improve the speed of an engine, they may choose a 5.0, 5.3, 5.7, 6.0, or 6.2 over a 4.7. In today’s world, however, manufacturers can add a turbo to a 3.0, making it even faster than a 6.0 while putting very little stress on the much smaller engine. Now, why is that relevant? The statement “there is no replacement for displacement” used to be true until the invention of modern turbos. Similarly, one could argue that there is “no replacement for native resolutions.” I still believe that to a small minuscule extent, but as a newly self-proclaimed non-biased individual I can see that with the advancements of FG, DLSS, FSR, PSSR, Xess, and others, native resolutions-providing more quality with less latency-will _likely_ become a thing of the past. DLSS and FG are akin to modern-day turbos. Few will recognize this shift until it has already occurred. It’s happening rapidly, especially with AI productivity. I didn’t like it at first, but I must admit that after using my 4080 Super, I found these features that I once scrutinized _simply_ incredible. Therefore, you all in the comments section are right; it _doesn’t_ matter. However, this perspective is lost on the *unalterable* Native Resolution Police. They haven’t realized that technology has moved on, and native resolutions are becoming a thing of the past for the average consumer. Native resolutions will still be utilized by enthusiasts to test raw GPU power, but for the rest of us, it truly does not matter. For newer generations to come, they will never experience a native resolution, nor will it be an expectation for them. The only way they will know the difference is if we tell them. Sadly, some gamers with antiquated standards will continue to struggle through this generational digital self-inflicted conundrum. They will keep insisting that you accept AMD’s 7900 XTX as the ultimate choice, all while purchasing NVIDIA cards themselves and hypocritically labeling iVadim as a shill or something similar. They want *YOU* to buy AMD cards so that the cards they prefer (NVIDIA) will stay at a competitive price at your expense. I’m specifically addressing NVIDIA gamers who have not upgraded but speak negatively about the new cards without purchasing either a new AMD card or a 4000 series card.
Indeed, I truly believe we’ve reached a point where playing games at native resolution, especially at 4K, is unnecessary. DLSS Quality looks just as good, if not better, while delivering more FPS. There’s simply no reason not to use it. I wasn’t completely satisfied with DLSS 2 in some games, but DLSS 3 is more than good enough. I now use it in every game that offers it.
I have the a MSI (x3) version and on DLSS quality epic presets it holds 60fps at 4K which surprised me as it’s UE5. Howver every time there is a cinematic cut even the game crashes but this does not happen at 1440p. Any reason why? My CPU is a 7600.

6750XT for sure. 20% more raster perf and you get 4GB extra Vram. I've had a 6950XT for about 2 years now and not had a single issue.
just like this tweak the settings, you wont need ultra shadow or reflections on wildfire mode if youre looking for a 600$ card in the first place- be smart
If you want to game at 4K you should buy a more powerful GPU. The 4070 Super is a very capable GPU and will do the job but it is not ideal. To be more future proof I would go with a 4080.
My 1080ti gets 150-200 fps in missions and fights in god of war. If he did some missions his fps would take a huge fall
Price in the UK just keeps going up😮
On Amazon it's still well below the £599 MSRP. I can still see it available starting at £549.
Someone i know wants to sell his rig for $1200, specs are:
I7 14700K
RTX 4070 Super
1 TB m.2 SSD
64 GB RAM @6000
850W PSU
Do you think is worth it? I think it does
I wanna buy for American Truck Sim and Euro Truck Sim 2 for 1440p or 60fps 4K gameplay
Just want to know if you think it a good deal?
Thank you for this video
I think it's a good deal. The 4070 SUPER alone costs $600 (+tax) new. Thanks for checking out my video!🤝🙂
what programd do you use for showin the performance ?
CapFrameX
@@theivadim Agree and likewise 😁
I have the a MSI (x3) version and on DLSS quality epic presets it holds 60fps at 4K which surprised me as it’s UE5. Howver every time there is a cinematic cut even the game crashes but this does not happen at 1440p. Any reason why? My CPU is a 7600.
maybe vram??
Good Morning Sir 🎉
Yup 😅I'll Pray To God That Developers Are Also Made Frame Generation For Last On Us Part 2
I Mean They Also Add That Feature
But I Know They Don't Give That ❤
Hi!👋🙂 I hope so too🤝
Im planning to upgrade from an RX 570 to this
That "GPU Temp" is hotspot?
Yes, with dlss in performance ;)
lol so basically 1080p gaming
4070 : Capable card at 4k highly recommneded.
7900XTX : Too weak for 1440p
😂😂 Alright bud.
This is such a preposterous idea for a video that it automatically got a do not recommend channel.
Thank you for getting me Win11 for like seven bucks.
Your space marine test is because of CPU limitations
I suspect that as well. Although, the CPU is nowhere near fully loaded. So, that’s also an optimisation issue. Not just a simple hardware issue.
Hi your keyboard thank you :D
It's called Keychron Q1 Max. Link in the description of this video.
I think its very good to have 4070 super in this year or even next year, cause still a strong performance gpu, i want to have 4070 super in my future pc with a 2k monitor but for the cpu still confused intel or amd 🤣
go for ryzen 7600 best value cpu for am5 platform if you wanted am4 platform then go for 5700x3d
@@shubhamkumar8596 im looking at ryzen 7 7700x tho kinda crispy
With all the bad news coming out about Intel's CPUs I think it's safer to go for AMD Ryzen🙂
@@theivadim mhm i agree with you
@@Samuelsemh Ryzen 5 7500F is all you need, $400 for CPU, MB and 32GB DDR5 6000 CL30. Paired with the 4070 Super this is a monster gaming machine for a really low price.
you try ffxvi in 4k?
No. I don't have this game. Do you recommend it?
@@theivadim yes yes the game is nice calculate that let's say at the full price of a normal game they also give you the two DLCs
Thanks! I'll give it a go if I'll catch it on sale.
is that the new basilisk v3 pro?
No🙂 That's its cheap cousin Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed.
yes
Ask me anything👇🙂
Also try playing hogwarts legacy at 4k
@@Chimera_0990tfr I focus on the latest games, but occasionally revisit older titles if they’re still popular, like Cyberpunk 2077. Hogwarts Legacy isn’t quite making the cut right now, but I might revisit it when new CPUs launch to see if the game still performs poorly, even with faster hardware.
Personally, I'd rather play every game on high settings and use DLSS quality before moving to dlss balanced setting.
Tea or Coffee?
please change your Mousepad 💀 even my mirco size banana is bigger then that mousepad
Does vram effect it
I cannot play 60fps for my life 😂😂😂 for some people they’re ok with it but for me it’s atrocious it just feels like it’s 30fps 😭😭😭😭
Me who still using RX580 8gb: 🗿
Me with rx 460 4g bro
@@matinm2453 Damn, I pray you get high end gpu
@@blackflame7909 Thanks bud i hope u get one new too.
@3:01. 2560x1440 resolution.....
Don’t call him out lol
Obviously
please change your mousepad 😗
What's your recommendation?
@@theivadim Fnatic Dash - XL Size for €60 or Fnatic Dash L Size for €32
XL size is 950×500×3mm and the L size is 487×372×3mm you can choose any of them for your comfort but please don't use that small one dude it's my request to you 😗
@@YashTheDon Sweet! They have Fnatic Dash M. That's perfect for me. Thank you for the recommendation 🤝🙂
@@theivadim glad to know 😀😀
AM I GAY LETS A GUESS
Worse benchmark channel 🔥
Why?
@@theivadim You should delve into the game's graphics settings and look for the best mode for it. You should also know the most demanding areas in the game and try them. If the game is demanding, this does not mean that the GPU is bad at all. Also, try a lot of games. Good luck to you my bro 🤙
👌👌👏👏
4070 was never made for 4K...
And yet here I am enjoying playing games on a 4K monitor using the 4070 SUPER🙂
@@theivadimsure... Native 4k on 35-50 FPS Maximum, or you only Play simple Games like CS😂. I own a 4090 an i know to use it. Maybe u use dlss Performance and think its native 4K😂😂🎉
@m.m.3753 This is like console level cope, if your not playing native 4k then your not playing in 4k. It's really that simple and a 4070 is not close to a 4k card.
@@IRaoulDukeabsolutely.
All I came say is LOL. 😂😂😂😂😂
The first area of GOW Ragnarök is not at all representative of the performance. You might want to do your benchmarks later in the game.
