This is my first hunting game. I've not played a hunting game. Closest were Red Dead Redemption 2 and Primal (caveman game). I mainly play first person shooters like CoD and Apex. It's pretty and fun. I don't understand if tracks are time relevant, why my badgers are 2 dollars but my pheasants are 16, and why getting out of the jeep is so hard. I literally have to park on perfectly leveled land and full stop to get out of it 😂. Also my prone movement camera is super bouncing? Rewarding as f when I sneak from 200yd to 120yd and land that perfect shot.
Welcome to the WOTH family! I am glad you're enjoying the game! There are a few bugs that still need to be worked out, but overall, a fantastic game! As far as the price difference, I would make sure you're not damaging the meat too much by making poor shots or using the wrong rifle. Hopefully, that fixes your issues! Happy hunting! Not only are the maps ginormous beyond your wildest imagination, the lighting is crisp and breathtakingly realistic for all the different times of the day. The animal animations are second to none and their reactions when shot are incredible. I shot a wildebeast on the Tilamook map and my first shot sent him running full speed shot a second time while he was going full speed and hit his rear left leg at about 300 yards and that leg kicked back instantly in reaction to being hit. Kudos to the devs for such amazing detail.
This game Is beautiful reminds me of the Sierra Mountains in California i love this game..I like It even more the COTW to some extent.......This game Is alot better than I thought.......
Played this game about a year now, loving it!! and thanks for the info, helped me understand a lot. With that said I would like to see more camp sites and stands, maybe even fast travel to the stands! I guess I'm a little lazy at times, lol. Also do you think pistols will ever be added? That would be awesome! You would be able to carry 3 firearms. Thanks again for the info! Good Work!!
I appreciate the encouraging words! I moved to a different state recently with an infant and started a new job. I had to take break from uploading because of that. Slowly getting back into it!
How did you get the shotgun perks? I have slaughtered whole flocks of geese, duck and pheasant and I cannot for the life of me get vital penetration on them. It's as if the shotguns are broken and thus can't unlock the perks.
@@Stagtastic the game was upgraded today, season pass, now I get penetration. Previously I could shoot fowl point blank and there would be zero ingress into the target at all, feathers stopped the pellets. Looks like Tikamoon solved the problem
That's an excellent question! I would recommend taking a 5* animal when you see it because those genetics are already in the herd, and you can continue to practice your herd management. However, this is totally preference and there would be no harm in leaving a 5* to continue to breed and keep them alive. Hope this helps!
Only have 15 hours playing killed several animals.The game wont let me buy a caller or allow me to have one I have money do I have to do some thing to be able to get one even more weapons and scopes.....
For anyone who may be curious, Yes; I did see the 5 star Mule Deer at 7:42 . Yes, I did track the herd again and was able to harvest him :)

Also you can eat pheasant but I have never seen badger on the menu. Different animals have different pricing.

It def. has all the potential to be better than COTW, but we have to remember that one is an arcade style (COTW) and one is a simulator (WOTH).

If I recall, you need to get close enough to the birds to get solid penetration.

Do the first few missions and then the game will tell you it has unlocked everything.
