Always liked going back to watch these videos, it's a shamed that I haven't heard much of Mackenzie after this. She was like, I won Nationals so I'm gonna head out. lol
I didn't see any of the stream, so going into this video I was rooting for Mackenzie (not knowing she was going to win) because as the battle kept going on and more of her stats kept showing, it really felt like she played the game. One thing I notice is that a lot of people who seem like more professional battlers have very few hatched eggs, a very small Pokedex, and seemingly very few accomplishments apart from beating the game once through. It just made it feel like she put more effort into it.
Usually, they're probably testing on Showdown or on Online. They either have a friend to breed and stuff for them, breed and what not on another game or hack.
They were great battles. She sounds really sweet and shy in her interview. She definitely deserved those wins. MVP was her Rotom Heat ^_^ Her opponent was good too. He almost won at one point.

yeah, the VGC rules that are on the rated battles. Though VGC seems to be developed for doubles only (since they only play doubles there), they seemed to just not care about other metas (mainly talking about singles here). The only things that actually bother me are that there is no sleep and evasion clause, but other than that I think that VGC is pretty nice, though I mostly play smogon. ^^ But that's going to far into the "discussion" type of thing, so I'd like to stop here. :)

You can always tell who's going to win in the younger divisions by looking at how many eggs they've hatched. I mean if someone's hatched 2,000 and their opponent hatched 2 you can tell who knows the mechanics of the game. c:

Sean Puffynipples absolutely, but wt i was saying was, when ppl see ur mega mawile the first thought of them would usually be giving u will-o-lisp to half its physical atk stat and the way i deal wif his is giving my mega mawile facade which ignores the phyical atk halving effect and being boosted from 70 to 140 atk due to status condition =]

Matthew McGavin not entirely true. the move lucky chant removes the possibility of critical hits for 5 turns, so suppressing critical hits is already programmed into the game. the problem is that it would be greatly modifying one of the core mechanics in pokemon. besides just being an unpredictable aspect, many moves and abilities have been built around the concept, and removing them would greatly change the game.
Zack's team is very disruptive he's got two fake outers thunder wave on rotom trick room on gothitelle witch also has the ability shadow tag his scrafty has taunt and his Ludicolo has scald witch has the ability to burn opponents mawile is really the only offensive Pokemon I think he needs another attacker Pokemon maybe two

at tournaments do you have to use a set 6 Pokemon or between matches can you change Pokemon and items
