I used to always wash my car with traditional soap and 2 bucket method. My paint was like a mirror, but one day they washed my car in the mechanic shop and left the paint with a looooot of micro scratches. From this day, i have started using a brazilian rinseless wash callec V Eco, from Vonixx. It works great. Make it simple and fast. The Carnauba wax let the paint with a very good shine and soft touch effect! Loving it
I am trying to help my elder family members with washing their cars, but it is very much time and labor-consuming. I did regular car washes for them and it is very time/effort prohibitive work. Would you please suggest a better/best methods (not the car wash places, of course ;) ) to wash cars, saving time and labor/energy? Thank you and thank you for your videos.
Yes exactly, the problem with waterless car wash or no rinse, is it's only okay for light duty cleaning. If the vehicle is heavily soiled or the customer likes to go off-roading and their's a lot of mud, dirt Etc baked on the vehicle the waterless Car Wash is useless. The traditional way of detailing cars is always going to be much better. You can safely remove all the dirt and soil and clean the vehicle properly without scratching without swirl marks Etc. I have use the waterless car wash. I remember when it was first invented back in the 90s. It's only okay like I said for light duty cleaning. If it's moderate to heavy duty cleaning, it's not recommended.
I actually use both in conjunction to reduce scratching even further and to aid in the cleaning process. I pre-soak the vehicle with the waterless wash...then do a normal rinseless wash procedure with 4 or 5 microfibers folded into fourths. I then use a drying aid such as opti-seal with a waffle weave towel to mop up the bulk of water. I then use a final dry low pile microfiber to buff to a gorgeous shine. Luke if u haven’t tried it use opti-seal as a drying aid when using the green onr wash & wax...it’s gold!
I started my business on that product. I wish they had an option with protection but this is still a good product! Actually really enjoy it as a clay lube!
Ive been a huge fan of Uber rinse less. Its all i used on my ceramic coated car. This winter i tried car soap and rinsed at a coin up. I felt my car is cleaner using a quality soap with a normal car wash. Fwiw i pretty much use the Apex method with 1 bucket and 3 mitts (10x10 + 2 hand mitts). Worx blower to dry it off.
Curious about the effectiveness of proklear waterless with its 200 times dilution claim. Available in Amazon can you review if it's true then very cost effective
Wilson Auto Detailing thank you 👍🏼 I’m slowly learning to not be overly attached to my car I still keep it clean in and out and I like to wax it and use spray waxes on it but I stopped falling for the detailing industry BS, thanks to you and a handful of other RUclipsrs that keep it real and aren’t trying to push products down your throat to get their pockets fat, I understand the ultimate goal is to make money but there are some greedy companies out there, sure they have a good product or two but they have countless bullshit products and prey on naive people that think is possible to keep your car swirl free and that they need 100 products to protect their car lol
Great video tho and I definitely see a purpose for the stuff just don’t see how it’s faster maybe on a pro level when u have to take into account setting up and taking down equipment etc
Having a question about generators. I started a mobile car wash business(not detailing just car washes) and I wanted to offer to go to people’s business and wash it there but am I allowed to use a generator let’s say in a parking lot of a business or if it’s a strip mall with many businesses. How do you all do for power to plug in your shop vacuum, air compressor steam machine etc....
Thanks so much man! Means a ton! Yes there are times when I do polish glass like exterior windshields, but I try to avoid it just because it is such a finicky thing
What’s your favorite waterless car wash product? It gets so cold in Michigan until I don’t want to put my hands in water. Thanks for sharing your expertise with a novice like me. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family!
just became a subscriber !! Have a question. I bought from Chemical Guys there waterless system for my son who lives on the 32nd floor of a condo where they're are no hoses available Do you recommend products like these ? Son bought a 2021 Porsche 718 and yes its black
Hello Luke. Another good video. I'm thinking the salt and calcium chloride used on the roads up here in Kansas will be too much for this product. I'm considering using ONR but first wetting the car with a Worx Hydroshot or a Kraus and Becker airless sprayer. My goal is to get the surface wetter to cut into the caked on salt, but not leave gallons of water to freeze on my garage floor or in the driveway. Any thoughts on the best way to wash when it's below freezing and not make an ice skating rink in the process?
hahahahaha you're right, you may need something more intense for that kind of application, which the hydroshot you mentioned I think would be perfect for, and using the ONR as a traditional wash rather than simply using it as a rinseless, because though it is a rinseless, it can also be used traditionally as well, and in your case, you are going to need more water like you mentioned because of the build up, but that way you are still getting the awesome results of the ONR. Not to mention that ONR has more lubricants than most traditional car shampoos
Would you do a video or explain the difference if I use a quick detailed and waterless wash? If I just want to wipe gown my car that has a light dust is it better to use the waterless car wash or do I just use the detailed?
Hi Luke, I live in an apartment in a huge water restricted area. I have been using Wipe Out by American Detailer Garage. Have you tried this product or can you compare with others? It is my first experience with rinsless/waterless washes. Thank you for the fine information and videos.
Hey man I have not used that product yet, but if you have not used ONR, I would definitely suggest looking into it. It represents the awesome advances that are being made in the industry with waterless & rinseless cleaning methods
I actually never use the two bucket wash method, I would argue that it is a total waste of time, and just another way for detailers to feel "skilled" and condescend people who dont use it..... was that to matter of fact? hahahahaha
This is my own car that I am going to be doing a full paint correction on so I wasnt worried about it, and to the towel issue, it really is a matter of preference in cases like these, in this case if one was doing a traditional two bucket wash method it would make sense to use a super plush microfiber, but here it really didnt make a difference
No waterless car washes are much different, it comes down to technique, budget, and microfiber used. Just like most car products, find what you like, that fits your budget, and get to it.
Hey Luke! :-) Optimum does have a waterless wash product called Opti-Clean. Did you know about it? And also it's a very good idea to damp your towel with the product a little bit to reduce marring risks even more. They never write it down in the directions section of the back label and they should!!
@@normacerpa4775 Since I use that only in the fall and spring (in other words too cold for ONR but with no snow) it's fine, especially with the concentrated 32 oz or 1 gallon bottles that can be diluted 3 to 1! :-)
Definitely man! The reason I didnt "prime" in this case is because this is my own car and I am getting ready to do an intense paint correction/two bucket wash method experiment, so I was not trying to avoid microscratches at any significant level here
@@wilsonautodetailing Ok I understand what you're saying, however nowhere in this video you talk about that so I think it's an important thing to specify.............this of course being constructive criticism ;-) By the way I spoke with Optimum staff and I asked them if I could use ONR at a more concentrated dilution level than the standard 1/256 instead of Opti-Clean as a waterless wash. Their answer is no because they consider Opti-Clean to be a superior product than ONR in that scenario!!
also watch your towel to use another clean side. this video shows him not using more microfiber towels. and reusing more the same side towel. but its just a demo video.
Waterless wash is meant for one thing bird shit on your car ... Use one of your cheaper microfiber towel ... But after completely clean .. buff off remaining product ... And follow up with some spray wax I recommend spray wax with sealant ... From Chemical guys ... It's call insta wax

Luke do you have the links for the 3D wash? Also what towels are you using with the 3D waterless wash?
Can you dilute this?

Why didn't you prime the cloth first? Also my other question is,
Wouldn't a higher gsm/ quality rag be in order since you are using waterless wash?

What do you think about wash wax all? From Aero Cosmetics?
I’m curious about this too!
I havent used it so I cant say :/
What kind of microfiber did you use? Looks like Kirkland??
Yep in this case I did
Do u make a good living from car detailing bro?
gets me decent cash with flexible appointments and services. bitches also a part time while detailing.

I swear waterless method is slower than just getting 2 buckets and some soap lol but maybe that’s just me
just be fast and clean doing it.

Around how many towels does it take to do a bigger vehicle such as a truck or suv
Austin Mendoza use the Big Red Sponge to do a quick Rinseless wash. Super fast and easy
I think 5-10 is a good rule of thumb
Basically a waterless wash is quick detailer on steroid.
Basically!

congratulations
3rd actually unlucky.

Terrible for your paint
