A couple months back I saw you on a video with Bass University talking about summer deep cranking. I remember how you said you were the best at summer deep cranking and the confidence in your voice body language and words you used reminded me of myself or someone who just new they were good at a certain skill period. I grew up showing draft horses and was very competitive in driving classes and now have taken up fishing to fuel my competitive furnace. You got people watching I suggest teaching us how to fish and talking about your experiences past and present. Let's go

There is not one pro fisherman that has not had a bad year, but you sir finished last year on a high note, and you just need to keep building off that. Go back through last year and right down where you made mistakes and dont repeat them going into next season. You fought hard to get where you are, and that determination needs to shine through from here on out. Sponsors will see you drive to win and that will become infectious to them, and they will want to be a part of that. Keep casting, and the fish will come Jacob.

If they produce a product that they don't want someone to be honest about & honest about the industry its used in. Then what kind of company is that. Companies need to stand behind the people using their product.

I am 59 years old and have kept up with pro fishing for 40 plus years. I am not talking about just watching BASS and MLF. I am talking about fishing podcasts etc etc etc! I don’t think I have ever heard of a pro making a great living in only tournament winnings. I realize during the great years during late 80s-early 2000s there are a few exceptions but even then very rare. I realize you have a few like your J Lees and your J Wheelers. In fact I just listen to Rick Clunn on Mercers podcast on how he lost everything including his house because of bass fishing professionally. I do appreciate your honesty but anyone remotely thinking about going pro had better have money or be willing to “gamble” it all. The truth is realistically having a second income to help absorb the cost along with sponsors is major and so important from my perspective. That way if you do win or place in the top ten it’s money in the bank instead of paying bills off. It probably wasn’t the best timing with Covid and all that mess to go pro but it is what it is. I wish nothing but the best and hope to see you on the podium in 2024!!!!

I know that feeling of winning before you get there and make it happen. I've probably fished well ove a thousand tournaments in my lifetime but at least 2 0r 3 times I knew in advance I would win. However, There were that dozen or so times I had that strong feeling of victory and it went the other way. It's all about the trust your ability, confidence and attitude that makes it happen. At least that's my perspective since I don't believe in anything of supernatural origin. Hey man, glad to see you live here on the Chick. I moved here about 10 yrs ago from Table Rock. Back when this place was chocked full of double digit monsters. It's gotten tough as hell here tho.
