I suffered with bulimia nervosa for most of my teenage years and it’s the one thing in my life that I regret the most. Instead of enjoying the best years of my life, I let this disease control me and it was the only thing that took up every part of my brain. It was the worst thing I had ever done. If you have an ED, please, please get help. Think about what’s most important in life. I wish I could go back in time and tell myself that I was just fine the way I was. I wish I could apologize to everyone including my past self for putting them through this. Yes, you need to take care of your body. You need to stay healthy and fit, but please do it the right way. Take care of yourself. Don’t be like me. I wish I saw what was most important. My family, friends, pets.... Enjoy your life, everyone. You are sooo much more than you could ever know; beautiful inside and out.

That's the thing about ED though. There isn't much you can say to get yourself or another to not go through it. Like you daid it's like a disease. No one ever made comments about my weight and I suffer from a lot of issues around weight.

No its not more common for either gender. It happens just as often as it does for women.
I have a “benny” I ignored her when I became pregnant (ironically right after hitting my goal weight, and ran to the first loser who showed me attention shock shock I was pregnant a month later) so I said hey I have a “pass” then my second I never lost the weight from my first child but again I had a “pass” then... I was 300lbs.... I got weight loss surgery. While healing it was discovered I had a serious complication. A hole in my stomach that had necrosis around the surface. I’m not aloud to eat. I rely on a PICC line and live off TPM. Then my “Benny” came back. Instead of TPN for 12 how about 7hrs? 5hrs? How about don’t take it and nibble on food that ur body now automatically rejects? Sounds great. 100lbs down in 4 months. Then I realized I went to hug my 4 year old. She knocked me down, I laughed standing up and going to pull her up to my embrace....and I couldn’t. Everything aches. I see my dr Monday. I wonder what further damage I’ve done to myself ... I wish I never started. My lips didn’t suffer but my teeth did.

Hey, I might be a little late but I went through it too (I’m 14) All my life I was skinny and when I was in 5th grade I gained wait from Problems at home. My Benny said to throw it up every time I ate and I hated vomit but I did result cake and they came fast. My mom noticed and she brought me to the doctor I was put in a wellness center until I recovered. As of now (in 8th grade) I’m doing really great and Don’t worry cuz when your an average weight everything will look good on you 🤪 (DONT take that seriously)

oh god, i haven't cried this much watching a video, i feel so so related to this story, the pain that you have to go through to lose weight ornto stay thin in an unhealthy way makes me sick, i feel horrible, every time i try to get better i just can't, it breaks my heart seeing my own sdlf like this.

As a person who dealt with an eating disorder on my own as a teen, and fixed it alone, which took a lot of time and strength. I have a child and one on the way. I still have tendencies, but I work really hard to not fall back into that.

As someone who is still recovering from a eating disorder I can tell you that a lot of use who have them hear voices in head that encouraged us to do these bad habits it's nice to actually see someone talking about it cuz normally not talked about and eating disorder culture. Was down to 70 lbs for me when was 16 now up to 140 with muscle as a 23 year old woman keep fighting u might slip some days some might be worse then others but worth fighting .

thats exactly how i hear things too, i don’t actually hear anything but i definitely feel it. i hate having food sit in my stomach without purging it, even if i haven’t eaten all day i still don’t deserve the food. every single time i eat something i feel so sick and bloated so i stopped eating, or if i eat i have to purge because my body physically can’t have food in my stomach

I can relate so freaking much
I have always been overweight, I never saw it as a problem until P.E class, the P.E. teacher came and weight us all. I was the person who weight more than everyone else, people kept making jokes about it, and even offending other people in front of me of being “fat” but as joke-insults. I really feel embarrassed by it now, and I have definitely started to limit my food. I only eat at lunch time, because I don’t want to end up always being like it. But this, is making me question my decisions.

as someone who had a mild eating disorder in the past, I can assure you, its not worth it.
hey please please try break the cycle I can tell you that becoming underweight is not fun or healthy I can count my ribs and feel like I'm going to faint when I stand up it messes with your digestive system when you have a bad diet I've been on medication for years and I still can't be normal the more you restrict yourself the harder it is to try foods again please take it from me it almost took my friends life I don't want to sound like I'm fearmongering but it's a terrible thing to go through and getting help is the way to go

What others think of you, depends on how you see yourself. Focus on something you can do better than others. It will help you build confidence and make you stronger.

Throwing up does so much damage to your body this is just the start of the issues, loosing teeth, acid reflux and bad breath are also typical signs x
