I really appreciate these videos. Thank you. Helps me to analyse and value stocks myself. Which I need. It’s also very entertaining.
I added 2500 shares of MPW during the conference call last Thursday at 4.37 and today it's currently up to $5.38 as the shorts are getting cold feet due to GME. It seems no one saw that coming so soon.
Does the fact that Nike is a Dow Jones stock add a premium to its price? It would be nice if you considered this in your valuation discussion.
Nice video on Nike dividendology, staying away right now though.
Overall I like NKE. However, I am just taking small bites right now and not throwing a lot in at this point. My analysis is coming up similar to yours, so I am a bit cautious.
Could you do an analysis on UFPI?
Thank you
What determines when you do and don’t use the other valuations for stocks?
I was thinking the same thing. Why did you skip Graham's valuation and DCF? I think you should explain your reasons if you are going to skip, especially DCF which is probably the most popular valuation method.
Loyal Nike member here. I don’t see current market conditions affecting the long term and i can definitely see the share price get over 110 again! I did hear they are be cutting production on sneakers like Jordan 1s , AF1s etc. so they should help them maintain a better free cash flow. Short term i could see a dividend cut BUT im bullish for the long term!
Fantastic buying opportunity. I have weekly buys in Nike.
What’s NKE’s dividend history though? Has it always raised the dividend YoY?
This is explained in the video...
you should review $PSEC
Thank you for this information. Gonna throw in some of the profits I made last week into this. Maybe 5000 dollars to start with
I think these companies are going to be hit hard as people start tightening their discretionary spending. It's a reluctant buy for me, I feel the same with Starbucks.
🙌🏼🙌🏼
I bought 80 shares
Love it, great video! Curious your thoughts on Starbucks?
He did a video on it not to long ago
@@T0MFORD roughly two months ago and a lot of new information has come out since then (earnings).
Can you do JNJ please? :-)
I did one just a few weeks ago on them!
@@Dividendology OK man thanks! Will go check it out!
Definitely buying some around 90s
I am still not clear on the reason for the share sell off that caused Nike's share price to plummet to this near 52-week low. In 2023, its profit margin is at 9.9% out of a $51 billion in revenue. Is this 10% profit margin typical for the retail industry? Unlike the likes of NVidia, there is really no new innovations for Nike and the retail business. I mean how many ways they can make the sneakers and clothing at 65% and 27% of what Nike sells respectively? The only reason there is revenue is people have to replace their shoes once very 6 months, so as long as there is enough Nike's brand loyalty, why would anyone else buy expensive Nike's shoes? Nike is not a growth stock given that it's already virtual monopoly with Adidas being a far second, and no more innovations. It's not even a good dividend stock.
Take world population into consideration.
The world pop has almost doubled in the lifetime of Nike.
It might double again in the next 40 years, but we can only guess.
If "most" people buy Nike as their preffered sports brand, those profit numbers will never decline.
Cola have basically done the same, it might never really grow, but it will always follow the growth of the world population and that should in theory increase exponential.
Anecdotal, but the majority of 25-35 y/os I see rock Hokas or ONs. I have personally only bought Hoka and Cole Haan the last 3 years. Hoka also has an actually patented sole design in every one of their shoes.
I dont really follow NKE but I have never been more bearish.
Where do you live?
I'm in the UK and I see the majority of 18-30~ wearing mostly Nike then Adidas
@@skullbashr1 Chicago! Friends on social media(insta/strava) also seem to be on the Hoka/Brooks/On wave
I would stay away. Too much competition from new balance, ASICS, gym shark Lulu lemon etc
How can you talk about Nike valuation without talking about China :(
No one cares about China! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
What’s happening with Nike in China?
