Hey GamerPoets. Do you know a work around to USSEP? Recently the author has taken a very anti-modder stance and has hidden ALL versions of USSEP for any older version of SE or AE making many mods that require it that are meant for those older versions dead in the water. (You can no longer use USSEP on an downgraded game) Unfortunately when asked about older versions he locks/deletes/or bans any commenter asking about older versions and acts hostile towards them.....its a shame since its such an important mod but its locked behind the latest Official Bethesda update. People shouldnt have to abandon their favorite load orders and mods just because the patch supports Bethesda unnecessary updates.

Everything goes great when installing, but when i hit "finish" for it to launch, it doesn't launch. The spinning circle on cursor spins for like 5 seconds and nothing. Thumbnail is on home screen, but when I double click on it it won't open. Any suggestions
I tried to install it, but it couldn't open the installer at all, it kept giving me the most unhelpful Runtime error I've ever seen, telling me that the action is only valid for products that are currently installed. Yeah, very unhelpful there.
I don't know if anyone has had this issue before, but from what i've searched i couldn't find anything. My mod organizer simply won't open. I have installed every requirement, and it simply doesn't open, nothing happens when i click it, even when i have my antivirus deactivated. What can i do to fix this?

I'm sure this is a good tutorial. What the heck ever happened to just d/ling a mod organizer, clicking the game you want to mod in it and finding all available mods, clicking them and being done with it?! I feel like I need to be some 20yo in computer school to use a mod any more. Create a folder create a folder create a folder, then create some more folders inside this for this or this for that, but not for this. Vortex is completely useless for me, and this is so far, only marginally better. This is an old game that has some updated graphics mods, but this makes me not want to play it at all.

MO2 won't launch anything. Don't know why. Its out of windows program files, added to antivirus and firewall exception. 150hrs in so I did run MO2 earlier. I just updated the MO2. Is that's the issue. Help!
I used vortex some times, but i'm never using it again, been building a LO with almost 600 mods, been running stable, but AT THE LAST MOD, i had one error wich vortex deleted half the files randomly, if anyone using that thing, it's a death trap i tell you

I need to make a portal installation just for my GOG games because I need to link the games path to GOG and not STEAM. STEAM Fallout 4 (the files are still in my games drive before the recent update) but on STEAM itself (I had everything to only launch etc to prevent auto-updates) it now says INSTALL. I can still play Fallout 4 in MO2 though.

So the managed game needs to be not inside the Program Files folder too. Is it worth it to just move the entire Steam folder onto the external drive the mods are in?

I’ve got an odd question for you that I can’t seem to find an answer for. I downloaded 2 mods for fallout 4. Apparently I was supposed to delete them through the pip boy before I deleted them through MO2. I unfortunately didn’t know that until I already deleted through MO2. Even on a fresh game they load and have broken my sanctuary with everything flickering. How can I find these files so I can manually delete them?

Nicely done video with clear directions ..... sadly in my case after installation I can't even get the GUI to actually load, almost like windows is preventing it. Whether I load it normally or as an administrator. It doesn't even show up on task manager.
I'm having some real issues with bodyslide studio so maybe a tutorial for that next? Also a ton of this was super helpful for suggesting good ways to structure the files
I always tend to disable form 43 detector given that there are lots of mod(especially outside of the nexus) that are sse compatible but have 43 forums But yeah this tool is flexible hence its probably the best mod manager if you know what your doing
That's a pretty cool idea. You can change the forms pretty easy in the CK (allbeit time consuming) if you want to just remove the annoyance... but yeah, disabling is a cool idea.

What can MO2 do that Vortex can't? I keep hearing that MO2 has more depth and better mod conflict resolution. But I don't get it. We can still do that in Vortex. What am I messing?
Nevermind. The past few days I've been looking up MO2 and comparing it to Vortex. Now I understand why MO2 is better. Because it simply allows us to better organize our modding more by giving us more control on the expense of time and patience. Once someone gets the hand of MO2, there is no other worthy alternative.
I have a question: Whenever I do this, I get 3 alerts in my log that say: "no profile found in ini C:/Users/(name)/AppData/Local/ModOrganizer/Skyrim Special Edition/ModOrganizer.ini, using default 'Default'" "the game is in Program Files; this may cause issues because it's a special system folder" (I only used the default options here) "Mod Organizer is in Program Files; this may cause issues as it's a special folder" (Again, I just used the default options it gave me) Modding Fallout 4 works completely fin though. It's just Skyrim that's acting up right now.
Thats exactly why he said not to install the game on the folder presented when you first install it.. 😏 .. If the Mod Organizer and Skyrim are on the same folder creates conflicts.. you must avoid that..

I haven't touched wrye bash in a while but I would like to do some updates with those videos one day. Time constraints dictate a lot of what I create these days. Generally not sure what I'm creating next until I sit down and just start going. I'll see what I can do = )
Vortex is a "load after" argument type of sorting system. Mo2 is a drag and drop load order system with different order fir asset files and plug-ins. Mo2 is more of a Bethesda modding power tool. Vortex attempts to be an all (game. Non Bethesda, too) encompassing , lighter feature option.
@gamerpoets I just recently decided to start playing FO4 again and going through the setup of all my mods. The one mod, which isn't really a mod, is body slide and outfit studio. Now before I quit playing 4 years ago, I had this working just fine with MO2 however now I can't get it to work just right. I have a handful of mods that are clothing and are built to the makers body. Do you have a video on getting this to work? I got FO4edit to work right and I followed the same principle but doesn't seem to work for BS&OS. BTW, I watched your video on how to stop FO4 from taking the NG update as 90% of my mods will likely break so I will follow that.

Hey, 100% unrelated, but I'm pretty sure I originally heard about this mod from one of your videos but now I can't find it. I used to have a mod that not only removed some of the items from the system page, but also reordered them, so the Mods option was at the top, then Save, etc. I have a new computer and am trying to set up a new load order but I can't for the life of me remember what that mod was called. Do you (or anyone else here) know what I'm talking about, and what it's called?
Yea, check my website while it's still up. Pretty sure all that stuff is on my UI section. I don't know how updated those mods are so do a bit of checking on the mod pages before using them all.
Does this work with the original version of Skyrim? It's been years since I've played, and I have gigs worth of mods backed up; so I don't want to have to switch to Special Edition right off the bat.
I'm so glad I found this hidden gem! Nexus Mod Manager recently got abandoned in favor of Vortex, (which I'm not the biggest fan of its interface, tbh.) And like someone with bad memory, NMM is currently *forgetting* my Fallout 4 MCM, and numerous Sim Settlements 2-related mods. Playing FO4 without SS2 to me feels like being at an ice cream shop with no money, (sad AND demoralized.)

MO2 is acceptable, just remember going against your OCD cannot hurt you!

Does the game have to be on Steam? Because I only have Skyrim on Xbox PC app with the game pass.

Programs files is UAC protected. You only need 1 drive. Put it anywhere else = )

Modding Fallout 4 works completely fin though. It's just Skyrim that's acting up right now.
Thats exactly why he said not to install the game on the folder presented when you first install it.. 😏 .. If the Mod Organizer and Skyrim are on the same folder creates conflicts.. you must avoid that..

I haven't touched wrye bash in a while but I would like to do some updates with those videos one day. Time constraints dictate a lot of what I create these days. Generally not sure what I'm creating next until I sit down and just start going. I'll see what I can do = )

I'm a little confused? What's the value of using MO2 over vortex mod launcher?
Vortex is a "load after" argument type of sorting system. Mo2 is a drag and drop load order system with different order fir asset files and plug-ins. Mo2 is more of a Bethesda modding power tool. Vortex attempts to be an all (game. Non Bethesda, too) encompassing , lighter feature option.
@gamerpoets I just recently decided to start playing FO4 again and going through the setup of all my mods. The one mod, which isn't really a mod, is body slide and outfit studio. Now before I quit playing 4 years ago, I had this working just fine with MO2 however now I can't get it to work just right. I have a handful of mods that are clothing and are built to the makers body. Do you have a video on getting this to work? I got FO4edit to work right and I followed the same principle but doesn't seem to work for BS&OS.
BTW, I watched your video on how to stop FO4 from taking the NG update as 90% of my mods will likely break so I will follow that.
@Gamerpoets Disregard, I figured it out. I didn't point MO2 to where it put the exe file. Though a simple video on basic things like this for the modding newcomers?

I'm not at my pc to look. It's going to be in setting. Have to find an image that shows the tabs/options to click.

Hey, 100% unrelated, but I'm pretty sure I originally heard about this mod from one of your videos but now I can't find it. I used to have a mod that not only removed some of the items from the system page, but also reordered them, so the Mods option was at the top, then Save, etc. I have a new computer and am trying to set up a new load order but I can't for the life of me remember what that mod was called. Do you (or anyone else here) know what I'm talking about, and what it's called?
Yea, check my website while it's still up. Pretty sure all that stuff is on my UI section. I don't know how updated those mods are so do a bit of checking on the mod pages before using them all.
Does this work with the original version of Skyrim? It's been years since I've played, and I have gigs worth of mods backed up; so I don't want to have to switch to Special Edition right off the bat.

Yes. But you then have to make sure all the like paths in Settings point to the correct locations.

I'm so glad I found this hidden gem! Nexus Mod Manager recently got abandoned in favor of Vortex, (which I'm not the biggest fan of its interface, tbh.) And like someone with bad memory, NMM is currently *forgetting* my Fallout 4 MCM, and numerous Sim Settlements 2-related mods. Playing FO4 without SS2 to me feels like being at an ice cream shop with no money, (sad AND demoralized.)
