- Trying to get through Rotterdam Docks at peak hour, Fps getting destroyed and people trying to get where they want to go... Did do a run though before when it was worse but sound didnt record.
How to play multiplayer
1. Buy ETS2 on steam: store.steampowered.com/app/227...
2. Go to the multiplayer mod page ets2mp.com/ and download the latest version
3. install the game and the mod, obviously.
4. play the damn game.

I enjoy it, its boring driving on empty roads, traffic jams add more realism.
You you the funny thing here? A lot of those players probably got stuck in traffic on the way home from in their rush to get home, jump in front of their computers and find they're in another traffic jam lol!

LOL and we complained the AI were bad at merging ......Some obvious blockers and plonkers here but their IP's are hopefully identified .. it's all good.
Just saying if you don't know, some of the "blockers" are guiding the trucks to certain paths. The ones going in take one road, the ones going out, the second road.
Or there was a massive crash.

The more videos I watch of the multiplayer, the more I want this game. I'll have to look into the details about servers. See if I could host my own.
Wbfuhn No you cant host your own server. But if you dont have the game already look on ebay or g2a.com its really cheap there

Man this is crazy a virtual traffic jam at grid lock ! I could get in my car and jump on the M25 for this crap if I wanted it. They need much wider roads or some traffic light control to clear the port.

Almost the same thing happened today at the same place! Sadly I got kicked for 'blocking' the road, but I was just waiting till I could move forward because that's how messed up it was! It was amazing. :)

This is hilarious, I just started multiplayer last night and I admit, some of the people I saw just seem to want to cause havoc but makes for entertaining video regardless....now I can't say much for your driving either but eh.
as annoying this is it keeps it real love it!!
This is the very reason why my PC hates me... Rotterdam is a pain... I avoid it like the plague, when I am online!

MegaPepsimax Rotterdam is starting to flow more freely lately I dont know how they managed it but its rare that you come into traffic jams like this anymore trust me I have seen worse than this traffic jam lol it used to be terrible

If you've been reading the forums, someone made that as a suggestion and it was denied.
Plus, you'd probably have to take that up with SCS, not the devs for this mod, seeing as they arn't the ones who add things to the vanilla game.

I started taking the tunnel, get super bad performance in Rotterdam. So just avoid the whole area and take Calais instead.

It's stupid that you have to buy ets2 on steam to play multiplayer, I bought the game retail and I want to play multiplayer
Howard wrong, they need to ban you through steam account if you break rules and with retail you don’t have an account, just the disc
You can always add the product key on Steam if you have the retail licence key and you will be able to play ETS2 and TruckersMP through the Steam version as well
I got the MP working last night and there was no traffic jam at all at europoort/rottterdam

Hey, why are you driving a sim in third-person? Surely your missing out on all the fun driving in cockpit view? I would love this game, just my laptop is a piece of crap, it barely runs minecraft at 25fps :(
i normally do but in that case with that many people, i would get 1-2 fps instead of 7-14

Have you tried running it on lowest graphic settings? I have a somewhat crappy laptop, its not meant for gaming, but I can play the game with Low or Med graphics, but I play low when on multiplayer.

Between Hungary and East Slovakia there was a huge traffic jam it wasn't multiplayer.
I hated Traffic Jam. But the funny thing is everyone do nothing but Horn
I lag to absolute shit. I get anywhere between 1 and 5 FPS in this kind of traffic. I've only encountered it once... and I will never, ever encounter that again.

They should add police cars for people who want to do traffic control and all that shit, but they would have to do some sort of a test to test if the would not misuse that power, I dotn play this game myself so if someone could tell this idea to the admins that would help you guys a lot i think :D

apparently so every so often, I personally don't play anymore because I cant stand being being bored at 90km/h max speed. Tend to check the twitch cctv sometimes and it can be pretty busy, not like this though

This wouldn't have happens if the admins would know what they are doing. They would make sure they wouldn't turn in the opposite direction, and kept them going straight. And the people exiting they should have kept them where you were going. No need to contra flow this ish. So basically a one way road, enter port, easy, exit port, easy. This is why admins need to be FIRED. they don't know what the hell they are doing.

This is why I never tried multi-player , too many morons that log in games just to fuck with whoever want to have fun and actually play the game like it is suppose to be play !
I just don't understand what can be fun in pissing other player's off like that ! Mankind is really doomed now that even Gamer's turn against each others in games that are not even for contact pvp.

The jam is not really a players fault, it just seems like if 2600 out of 2600 players are on the server, there are just too many trucks that have to go that way.
The trouble with Rotterdam is it serves as the best option to get in and out of the UK when going to and from Eastern Europe and with a time limit on your goods and a limit of short roads Calais and Amsterdam aren't always the best option serving little alternative.
I sooooo happy people have to pass exams to get driver's license in real world, it doesn't solves all the problems, but this shit is just nonsense =D

What i first thought when i got ETS 2 is that it works like most other games (console games). Like when i played halo 4 (just naming the first game that comes to mind), there's a way to play single player and there's a way to play multiplayer.
Basically, what im saying is that the multiplayer download is like an add-on (dlc to speak). You have to get it separately to enjoy it.
Luckily for me, i have an annoying error that no one knows how to fix so i can't play MP...
+si3entdarkness buying the game will fix the issue. Asking for help fixing a stolen copy of a game isn't going to get you too far. Not to mention, you can't play the multi-player with a crack anyway as you need to link your steam account to the multiplayer website.

How go drive Europoort. Going to the uk? Stay to the right don't turn left. Coming in from uk? Stay straight then make the right. Now if only people actually did that.

Lag as in FPS or what? i was getting around 15fps or below
I'm using OBS, there is lag in game but I've set the video up to play at 60fps
always set the recording to play at 30fps theres no point to play in 60 as youtube will only render to 30 im pretty sure something like that and OBS is more for streaming i think
after watching this i rly want to play MP... have so problems so i have to contact SCS... hopefully i will get online soon :P
