And then it will get tougher to stop that, i also believe that the Biden Admin are listening and willing to improve over a longer time period for issues like that. Not your best take. I agree with your point but she's not advocating for nothing ever changing. I think it's a fair point that faced with an existential crisis against an opposition party that is outright fascist and knows how to manipulate its base to turn out incredibly strong, spending our precious resources on a messy primary fight is a waste of resources if our goal is to regain full control of Congress.
Not that I think you're wrong on the larger point, I just think in this political climate, it actually is a fair argument for once to not push for a more progressive candidate as hard as possible. In 2016 and 2020 it was right to do so but right now things are a lot more precarious and a primary fight might not only project weakness to on-the-fence centrists, but it actually would funnel money away from Congressional races that we really need to win. Biden has shown that he'll play ball with progressive policies so he's not fully a status quo guy. If we can take back the House and start putting progressive legislation on his desk he'll probably sign it. So it's not the worst thing for just this election to not primary him. We desperately need Democrats to retake Congress. That's the bigger priority. That's her point.
Realistically though, the left would never unify around one candidate before the primaries like that. Though she may have a valid point imo, it just wouldn't happen. And anyway in this climate there will likely be a progressive challenger hoping to finish what Bernie started and we should vote for them in the primaries. A primary is inevitable so her calls, while imo reasonable, are pointless.

While Bernie has made it clear that he won't challenge Biden in the primary, and he is probably pretty busy with his committee duties, but if someone else (who actually has experience, so not Marianne Williamson) wants to put up a primary challenge, that's healthy. Too many have bought into the CW that a primary challenge means the incumbent President (such as 1976, 1980, and 1992) will lose and no serious party challenge (such as 1984, 1996, and 2004) means the incumbent President will win. The problem She's explaining is right, but her solution is all wrong. If we keep supporting establishment candidates, we'll always be on the knife's edge. I remember back in 2016, we HAD to put all our support behind Hillary because Trump was that much of a threat. Democrats are always playing defense against the Republicans.
The only way to get off that knife's edge is to push Democrats further left. Support more progressive policies, and fight against gerrymandering and voter suppression.

No, we haven't been on that knife's edge to the same extent. There has never been a former president who attempted a coup both through legal wriggling *and* violence who is STILL the frontrunner for re-election in his party.
In 2016, I was Bernie or Bust and ended up voting Green. When I now see what that did to abortion rights, I deeply regret how effective that anti-establishment propaganda was.
Here's the part you and Vaush are missing: Democrats don't care if they lose. Ultimately, they're still economic elites who will live comfortably with or without tossing a bone to Progressives. They'll still be able to get their abortions, sleep with whomever they want, etc. There is no "punishing" them by making them lose outside of humiliation, which they don't care about too much.
