Hi I am new to speed skating , started watching after seeing Kramer's Olympics highlight. I thought Verbij pulled some muscle because he basically gave up and ended up last.
@@smartwatcherss5718 he also didn't have a lot of time to make a decision, while he was under his pressure, this happens, he can't be blamed. Most of all, Verbij didn't want to ruin Dubrieul's race, that's a real gentleman
I am a Korean speed skating fan. I have a question for you. I know that when an in-course athlete goes to an out-course when they pass an intersection in speed skating, they don't have priority, but why does Kramer just pass by?
It's not allowed to pass someone on the inside while hindering your opponent. So that's the question, was Thomas Krol hindered by Sven Kramer in this crossing? I mean probably, it looks like it. So should Kramer have been DQ'd, yeah probably. Why wasn't he? Probably because he's Sven Kramer.
I saw a Sven Kramer's record on Alau Ice Palace in Kazakhstan. He was in Kazakhstan on world championship, and set track record
this is what verbeij should have done at the olympic 1000m against dubrieul

@@GP5147-m5r The commentator thought the same thing at first, but he explained that he gave up because he knew his race was over.
I thought that too
Verbei was not smart enough

idk tbf.. i dont think its really supposed to be like this, but maybe Kramer thought that it would be faster to pass him on the inside
