Weird how none of the comments mentions that he was apparently physically abused by his dad and then sexually abused when he was young. I think that as a society we don't speak enough about the repercussions of abuse, especially on men. And if we don't speak about it, we can't heal it. If we talked about it in a meaningful way, if we accepted it when others like Jeremy open up about it, perhaps more people would've come forward. Men's psyche is more fragile because there's still this stigma surrounding abuse of men. However, these traumas can be coped with if more men find reliable and safe help from specialists. It's probably very hard or nearly impossible to heal 100% but a lot of it can be worked through. I've watched a movie/documentary about men in prison called The Work and men's aggression, abusive or criminal behaviour usually takes root in childhood, especially when it comes to father trauma. So if we as a society were to address this problem, we would've created a safer world for all of us ..

Especially when you don't talk about them. Which men really don't because they think they'll be perceived as weak. Its so sad to know how many wounded souls there are out there that are in serious need of love, acceptance and understanding. It makes me sad knowing that so many people are just trying to keep it together and make it through the day. Everyday. It really hurts my hear to know that so many of those people aren't making it.

I think the fact that Jeremy does not edit his videos says a lot about what he is going for. He is going for authenticity. He is going for being real, and not trying to hide all of his human foibles from his viewers. He’s had a lifetime of that during his boy band and modeling years where everything you see is highly edited to perfection. I think people love him because they identify with his owning up to his sins & excesses, and doing his best to be a new person. As far as concern for his health and drug-taking questions, I will say that I have had friends who have gone vegan and exercise constantly whose bodies look like Jeremy. They become very skinny, but they are not taking drugs. I think this explains Jeremy‘s physique at this point in time. It goes along with his desire to rid himself of all the fake foods, and live a cleaner, healthier , & more real lifestyle.
Being vegan is a lifestyle and that includes taking care of yourself and getting proper hours of sleep. This guy appears to look like he hasn’t had any decent sleep in years. If you look back at some of his many previous videos compared to the current ones, you’ll notice a stark difference in his appearance. His eyes, skin, and unkept hair to name a few for example. I have vegan friends as well who don’t look drought and drained like Jeremy does now. I have nothing against him and I have photographed him on one of my red carpet coverage when he won his Fragrance Foundation Award several years ago. Back then, he looked sharp and pretty decent and put together. He looked much healthier compared to now. Lots of people go on these diet fads all the time doesn’t mean they are literally taking care of themselves. This is just prime example what we’re seeing. It’s not rocket science to notice the difference. Especially, from folks like myself who have been following him for a very long time.
@@S5King7 There's a chance that if his B vitamins, B12 specifically since you generally HAVE to supplement for that on a vegan diet, are in depletion it's worsening his mental state since those vitamins have a direct impact. I have a mental health disorder and my condition was worsened when vegan, but since introducing animal protein in occasion it helps. I still have to be medicated for my specific condition, but definitely even diets that look outwardly healthy can have nutritional gaps if not careful.
Psycho and mental health are two different things that you should not compare to each other. The man is a living legend in the fragrance community and have done verry well in his career. Hope that he will do great and get help in life.
I admire him very much. The things he has gone through would break anyone, but I have a feeling he is shielding himself with so much going on in his life, because he has not come to terms nor understanding of all that he was put through as a child and young man. He is such a fighter.

It's crazy to me that Jeremy would rather close FragranceOne than just restructure the business to sell them cheaper. I remember a live stream or something where he openly admitted that after the cost of R&D the actual cost of manufacturing the juice and bottles was mere euros. I own all of his fragrances and if they had come out at $100 or $150 for Black Tie, he wouldn't have been able to keep them in stock. The general consensus is that they are great products just way too expensive. Office is my daily driver and I stocked up on that 66% off sale he was running.
@@ICONOCLAST I am assuming you have never ran a business before. It cost a huge amount of money and sacrifice to create a product. Imagine having to plot down hundreds of thousands of dollars and not know if it will become a product. This is why most Kickstarters don't even finish creating their product. He took the risk so he should also reap the reward. He probably closed down his business because it didn't make financial sense to continue. If they could have lowered the cost, his brother could have just continued to produce the fragrances and sell it at a lower price.

What people don't talk about is Jeremy releasing a coupon for 90% off if you buy 2 and it was available for long time (Not sure about now because I switched fragrances) and he releases every month coupons 50-70% he doesn't announce it and I think its for his frequent viewers, you can tell he loves his community and wants everyone to learn from his mistakes. Many of them are overly priced because the designer wanted them to stay unique and not everyone would go buy them which is a huge factor for many people who want to buy fragrances. For example Chanel decided they want Chanel 5 to be one of their most expensive perfumes just so that not everyone would smell like it till it gets boring. Many people say they wouldn’t consider buying La Vie Est Belle now because of how common and boring it is despite its good smell. People have their opinions on this but speciality matters to so many fragrance lovers.

Current Jeremy is a joke, laughed at by the same fragrance community. There are far better fragrance channels now that actually review new stuff. All Jeremy does now is drone up the same 10-20 fragrances every day.

I remember watching his very early videos to find a gift perfume for my boyfriend as I didn't know what would be a nice mens fragrance but God I got addicted to his content because of this random behaviour. Pretty sure he's just acting the way he is because he's finally overcome a certain insecurity of having to be "professional" all the time. He's never been a super suave gentleman guy by default. He's always been a crazy out there charismatic guy who's finally embracing it to the fullest
I knew about the boy bands but had no idea about the rough upbringing he had. Seeing clips of his later videos it kinda makes sense. Happy for his success but also feel bad for him and it seems like there's deeper issues there. I actually met him here in NYC at a Kenneth Cole fragrance launch and he was a really nice and approachable guy....this was at a time where he had already became well known in the fragrance community but before he launched his fragrances and also before the later videos which seemed to go off in another direction to put it lightly.

I'm not really a fan but I think Jeremy is definitely a character, good or bad depends on your perspective. Having said that it seems he's on alot of pain killers for the body and mind..you can tell by how his face on current videos have looked bloated. What I think he needs is a really good psychologist or a really stable friend that he can consistently talk to about his personal demons. He's very young and has alot of time to figure himself out and start a new life where he can be successful without all the bs around him...and he should move out of Florida.

I never met Jeremy but I subbed his channel in 2015 before his channel went crazy with super popularity . He was talking about New York City and visiting the USA and I was the very fist person that told him and advised him to go to Miami and then take Highway 1 to the Florida Keys to see a very special place in the US that is much different than just going to NYC .. Yep, and then he took my advice and ended up living in Miami and he made a name for himself there also.

As a young guy fresh outta high school, I started to care about how I presented myself. Jeremy was one of the first people I watched years ago. Now I have a small collection of fragrances because of him. I think he’s a good content creator with funny out of pocket bits. Wouldn’t have smelt better without him lol
He’s the one who strongly influenced me to fragrance niche world but almost all of my purchases from his recommendations not worked for me but still I watch him …people around me are thankful because they appreciate the sweet and gourmand fragrance he recommended.. I still will watch him though 😘🥰oh , as I remember his recommendations are not niche , most are designers .
A smarter business move would have been doing a much more affordable fragrance and then release special editions that were limited. He'd have the more constant sale of "Fragrance One" and then have hype about those limited runs.

Funnily enough, I had a 10ml sample of fragrance one office, it garnered more compliments than any other fragrance I've worn, and I've worn many! To me it's a 7/10, to random women it's a 10/10.
Jeremy is a real really good guy that came up in the perfume industry and as an influencer with lot’s of opposition and hate. However he over came the odds. Then came the self influenced extreme diet.I have a very good friend that did something similar and it adversely affected his overall health. Jeremy’s body proportions, swollen face and bulging stomach are signs that something is off. I pray he takes seeks medical help and wisdom.

Every influencer or YT creator comes across trolls, haters, and many people who say negative things that may be true but they are only seeing it with minimal insight or content. I've seen Jeremy from the beginning. I applaud all his persistent in growth having fun and creating despite those who want to set him back. However; what i appreciate the most is that he does not talk about mental health or try to promote anything other than what he is experiencing and living that day. Tried the OFFICE, it is a very good fragrance. Id is not as long lasting as I expected it to be, but as the name says OFFICE, it is good for the office, it does not project much.

@@S5King7 There's a chance that if his B vitamins, B12 specifically since you generally HAVE to supplement for that on a vegan diet, are in depletion it's worsening his mental state since those vitamins have a direct impact. I have a mental health disorder and my condition was worsened when vegan, but since introducing animal protein in occasion it helps. I still have to be medicated for my specific condition, but definitely even diets that look outwardly healthy can have nutritional gaps if not careful.

It's crazy to me that Jeremy would rather close FragranceOne than just restructure the business to sell them cheaper. I remember a live stream or something where he openly admitted that after the cost of R&D the actual cost of manufacturing the juice and bottles was mere euros. I own all of his fragrances and if they had come out at $100 or $150 for Black Tie, he wouldn't have been able to keep them in stock. The general consensus is that they are great products just way too expensive.

Imagine having to plot down hundreds of thousands of dollars and not know if it will become a product. This is why most Kickstarters don't even finish creating their product. He took the risk so he should also reap the reward. He probably closed down his business because it didn't make financial sense to continue. If they could have lowered the cost, his brother could have just continued to produce the fragrances and sell it at a lower price.

Im happy he achieved what he wanted.. being the number 1 fragrance influencer.

it's still a business. he still needs to reap profit. the fact is, a 90% off of a 350 €, 100 ml perfume is a HUGE bargain. even if the quality is just above average i will be more than happy to buy multiple of them.

Many of them are overly priced because the designer wanted them to stay unique and not everyone would go buy them which is a huge factor for many people who want to buy fragrances. For example Chanel decided they want Chanel 5 to be one of their most expensive perfumes just so that not everyone would smell like it till it gets boring. Many people say they wouldn’t consider buying La Vie Est Belle now because of how common and boring it is despite its good smell. People have their opinions on this but speciality matters to so many fragrance lovers.

I understand pricing products into near exclusivity, everytime I’m at Saks i shed a light sweat on my forehead as I’m about to fork over close to $500 for a bottle of laffeytte st. Current Jeremy is a joke, laughed at by the same fragrance community. There are far better fragrance channels now that actually review new stuff. All Jeremy does now is drone up the same 10-20 fragrances every day.

I knew about the boy bands but had no idea about the rough upbringing he had. Seeing clips of his later videos it kinda makes sense. Happy for his success but also feel bad for him and it seems like there's deeper issues there.
I actually met him here in NYC at a Kenneth Cole fragrance launch and he was a really nice and approachable guy....this was at a time where he had already became well known in the fragrance community but before he launched his fragrances and also before the later videos which seemed to go off in another direction to put it lightly.

I'm not really a fan but I think Jeremy is definitely a character, good or bad depends on your perspective. Having said that it seems he's on alot of pain killers for the body and mind..you can tell by how his face on current videos have looked bloated. What I think he needs is a really good psychologist or a really stable friend that he can consistently talk to about his personal demons. I never met Jeremy but I subbed his channel in 2015 before his channel went crazy with super popularity . He was talking about New York City and visiting the USA and I was the very fist person that told him and advised him to go to Miami and then take Highway 1 to the Florida Keys to see a very special place in the US that is much different than just going to NYC .. Yep, and then he took my advice and ended up living in Miami and he made a name for himself there also.

He’s the one who strongly influenced me to fragrance niche world but almost all of my purchases from his recommendations not worked for me but still I watch him …people around me are thankful because they appreciate the sweet and gourmand fragrance he recommended.. I still will watch him though 😘🥰oh , as I remember his recommendations are not niche , most are designers .
A smarter business move would have been doing a much more affordable fragrance and then release special editions that were limited. He'd have the more constant sale of "Fragrance One" and then have hype about those limited runs.

Then came the self influenced extreme diet.I have a very good friend that did something similar and it adversely affected his overall health. Jeremy’s body proportions, swollen face and bulging stomach are signs that something is off. I pray he takes seeks medical help and wisdom.

I've seen Jeremy from the beginning. I applaud all his persistent in growth having fun and creating despite those who want to set him back. I found his content extremely useful and informative a few years when I first got into this. He now seems to be caught in the cycle of his own machine, while clearly battling some issues. He lately looks like someone who gets about 2 hours of sleep a night.
