What you said in this video HIT ME LIKE A TON OF BRICKS about not waiting to use special things until the right time! I do that and, like you said, it just ends up collecting dust! I think you just made my 2022 a whole lot better by telling me this and the example of your new tea set! I am one that can’t just sit inside and not do anything w myself. Even when we had our lockdown (here in PA in the states) I still got ready for the day. I had to. It was for my mental well being. We spend our hard earn money on our products and we should use them. Enjoy them. Use your things in your house. I’m 53 now and back in 2007 I had cervical cancer and followed by a bowel obstruction. My kids were just little then. Granted I only needed surgery but still. My sis in law just went thru chemo after breast cancer. She’s doing great. I’m just saying to use your things. Enjoy what you have. Everyone have a wonderful new year!! ☺️🥳🎉

A few years ago, I went through all my possessions and only kept the things I use and love. Which means I use all my vintage glassware, etc. And a partial old set of sterling flatware gets used as my everyday utensils. My jadeite collection gets used every day. I have inly ever lost a couple of pieces due to use, but have gotten so much pleasure in actually using what I have. It is a joy. Don’t be afraid! Use your lovely things! 🤍
My ex mother-in-law rarely used her beautiful Rosenthal wedding china until I started dating her son. 13 years into the relationship, I overheard her tell her son how grateful she was that I always offered to hand wash all the china, and her Waterford crystal too. She trusted me, and I got to stay out of the political arguments that always ensued after too much wine with dinner. I think her son finally told her about my preferring the china over the company. Somehow, I was dropped off her Christmas card mailing list a few years after her son and I broke up.
Yay for Elf products! Even my husband knows it's my favorite makeup brand - he can't help but notice the bathroom counter covered in Elf labels lol. Their Holy Hydration line has made my 46 year old dry skin change drastically for the better. Can't wait to try some of these new products out!
Haha, I just learned my lesson on saving the makeup for perfect occasion. I got a stila Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow about 2 years ago. I used it like twice because that was all the special occasion in the last 2 years. 😆I tried again this new years eve and it is almost completely dried up. I'll remember: "things ment to be used".

The Elf brow lift is awesome! Bend the spoolie then tap it in the pot. You can use before your brow pen (hope you find them) or after your brow pencil ;) My brows do not budge!
ELF is one of the only drugstore brands for makeup that I like and whose quality is a lot like many high end products. Plus their brushes are so good, no need for me to spend on pricy brushes! The primer seems like the Milk makeup hydrogrip, how does it compare?

I do the exact same thing--but I also have another strange makeup 'thing' stuck in my brain: that I can't wear ANY makeup at all unless I do a full face. What IS that?! I don't always have the energy or the time to do a full face, and I'm a person who always wears very natural-looking makeup even WITH a full face, so it actually WOULD make sense for me to do, say, just brows, a dot of blush, and clear lip balm (or something similarly simple using just a few products) for day-to-day. I have so many beautiful products that I love using, and it's time to stop letting them dry out or expire and time to start actively enjoying them.

Last year I had a death scare and thought about everything I had I wanted to use it all but I couldn’t get out of bead or do simple stuff like walk to the bathroom! the Super Sponge makes an amazing silicone sponge that I’ve been using since I first discovered them on Instagram! it saves you so much product,like I probably use half of what I would normally use with a brush or regular sponge. I’m excited to try this elf one to see how it compares!
I struggle with wax/soap type of products too but I have identified the mistake I make that makes my brow hairs fall! I believe you are not supposed to brush through your brows after the wax dries because essentially you are glueing your brow hairs to your skin and brushing them after they have set would only „release“ them and make them fall even quicker because the wax is weighing them down. I hope this makes sense lol so just try to leave them alone after they have dried. At least this is what works for me, hope it helps! ❤️❤️

I have the brow pomade and the double ended tool from E.L.F. I found it a little mystifying to use and looked for instructions online, lol. I guess you bend the spoolie at a 45-degree angle, load the product onto the spool directly, brush it through, then press your brows in place with the spatula end. To me, though, that undoes the fluffing of the brows. I'm still mystified, lol. The lip products definitely look very nice, Allie! And I have to tell you, for my birthday this past Wednesday my boyfriend bought me your classic set of the makeup bags in the newer lilac color. Love them! Beautifully packaged!! I can't wait to use them, and now my daughter Amelia wants your large set. 🥰
Oh my goodness I totally relate about saving things!! I am THE worst about that! It's been a problem from the time I was a kid and would beg my mom to make copies of my coloring book pages for me to color so I could save the original pages for special occasions or if I messed up 😅

I had purchased several lipsticks from Lisa Eldridge so when the new eye shadows came out, I wasn't sure if they were exactly my type of product. However, seeing it on you has convinced me maybe they are something I would enjoy trying. Also, it made me smile when you said you save special makeup for special occasions. I am exactly the opposite! I like to wear my special makeup on days where nothing is happening, and it makes my ordinary and dull day seem more special!

I really liked your final look today. It could take you from the kitchen to the board room and then out to dinner and dancing with minor touch-ups for routine wear. You introduced me to e.l.f. and I am almost out of all my Clinique. When all my Clinique is gone it will be all e.l.f. except for mascara as I hate their mascara.
Love Elf so much, eye lid primer is great and setting make up spray is so good. It really does set your makeup, very hydrating smells wonderful and so much easier than powder. I believe that the silicone side of the sponge is supposed to be the side that you apply your foundation with. Since it doesn’t soak up much product, less product will be used in the long run. Which in turn will save your amount of product to have it longer and save you money. Definitely a bonus for your most expensive foundations. That is a win, win in my book.🤗 Also, that periwinkle color of your shirt/sweater looks beautiful against your skin tone.💙💜
Lip stains can be so hit and miss, some are so drying and leave a patchy color behind, but these look so pretty and glossy which is promising! I will have to try them out!
I agree! When I was a kid in kindergarten, my teacher gave me a doll, and I remember I never got to play with it because my mom put it up! Every day unused to look at the doll and I don’t remember what ever happen to the doll but I don’t remember enjoying it ! I struggle with wax/soap type of products too but I have identified the mistake I make that makes my brow hairs fall! I believe you are not supposed to brush through your brows after the wax dries because essentially you are glueing your brow hairs to your skin and brushing them after they have set would only „release“ them and make them fall even quicker because the wax is weighing them down. I hope this makes sense lol so just try to leave them alone after they have dried. At least this is what works for me, hope it helps! ❤️❤️

I LOVE that you said that you want to just enjoy things and not save it for special occasions! I do the same thing but especially with nice clothes and high end makeup! I think we should all just enjoy ourselves and if we buy ourselves something nice we should use it

I need to stop save things to special occasions too , I used to do so with expensive purses , clothing or makeup till they become outdated or expired, I can't agree more with you about that.
I have the brow pomade and the double ended tool from E.L.F. I found it a little mystifying to use and looked for instructions online, lol. I guess you bend the spoolie at a 45-degree angle, load the product onto the spool directly, brush it through, then press your brows in place with the spatula end. To me, though, that undoes the fluffing of the brows. I'm still mystified, lol. The lip products definitely look very nice, Allie! And I have to tell you, for my birthday this past Wednesday my boyfriend bought me your classic set of the makeup bags in the newer lilac color. Love them! Beautifully packaged!! I can't wait to use them, and now my daughter Amelia wants your large set. 🥰

Oh my goodness I totally relate about saving things!! I am THE worst about that! It's been a problem from the time I was a kid and would beg my mom to make copies of my coloring book pages for me to color so I could save the original pages for special occasions or if I messed up 😅

I had purchased several lipsticks from Lisa Eldridge so when the new eye shadows came out, I wasn't sure if they were exactly my type of product. However, seeing it on you has convinced me maybe they are something I would enjoy trying. Also, it made me smile when you said you save special makeup for special occasions. I am exactly the opposite! I like to wear my special makeup on days where nothing is happening, and it makes my ordinary and dull day seem more special!

The silicone side is soo good. It doesn’t absorb your product at all so it allows you to get more of a full coverage look.

The nice thing about the silicone bottom of the sponge, is that foundation isn't absorbed like a regular sponge.

I really liked your final look today. It could take you from the kitchen to the board room and then out to dinner and dancing with minor touch-ups for routine wear. You introduced me to e.l.f. and I am almost out of all my Clinique. When all my Clinique is gone it will be all e.l.f. except for mascara as I hate their mascara.
Love Elf so much, eye lid primer is great and setting make up spray is so good. It really does set your makeup, very hydrating smells wonderful and so much easier than powder. I believe that the silicone side of the sponge is supposed to be the side that you apply your foundation with. Since it doesn’t soak up much product, less product will be used in the long run. Which in turn will save your amount of product to have it longer and save you money. Definitely a bonus for your most expensive foundations. That is a win, win in my book.🤗 Also, that periwinkle color of your shirt/sweater looks beautiful against your skin tone.💙💜

Lip stains can be so hit and miss, some are so drying and leave a patchy color behind, but these look so pretty and glossy which is promising! I will have to try them out!
I agree! When I was a kid in kindergarten, my teacher gave me a doll, and I remember I never got to play with it because my mom put it up! Every day unused to look at the doll and I don’t remember what ever happen to the doll but I don’t remember enjoying it ! So now I don’t save nothing for special cuss everyday is special if you are breathing!!!
