In today's video: we're leaving the center of Tokyo, taking two trains to explore a new part of the city! First, we're stopping by Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum - a gigantic open air area to visit Japanese houses with interesting architecture! 🛖🏡🏘️ Such a unique experience! We're then heading to the Ghibli Museum nearby, taking a snack on the way 🍞 The day will end with a nice dinner with a friend in town! Let's enjoy the summer breeze one last time before heading back to the hotel 😌

A long time ago, When I was a child, I lived in Mitaka City. There wsa a small wooden bathtub in our house. We didn't have running water, so we got water from a well. Inokashira Park was our playground. My friends and I even practiced chorus there. This video brought back some very fond memories.

Love the open air museum! We do have several of those in Germany, but as I remember they're mostly about old farm houses, and don't feature more recent urban architecture. Very cool, and Ghibli is of course wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing all this!

As I wrote before, there are many places in Japan that even Japanese people don't know about, from Hokkaido in the north to Okinawa in the south. I look forward to milo-san next visit to Japan. @8:37 That's katsuobushi, dried bonito. They shave it to get bonito flakes that are a common ingredient in Japanese cuisine, starting with _dashi_ , the _kombu_ (dried kelp) stock they use on pretty much everything. Nice program on that day, I'm quite interested in Japanese traditional architecture (not the most practical when the extreme cold weather arrives but oh so beautiful and in harmony with the landscape) Thanks SoM 🙏
