We do now have the to tide water line thanks to the federal government. Two things held back the eastern line. One, Quebec didn't agree to it. Two, which is the main issue for everyone, is that certain companies have neglected an underwater line which may break and cause a massive problem. If they would take care of their mess, I don't think that there would be any hesitation on getting that eastern line built.

@@JamieHumeCreative No thanks to the Federal government. They made it impossible for Kinder Morgan to proceed, so they bought it and spent 5x as much as KM would have paid to complete the project. The mess is all the fault of the feds to "deny" these projects by making things so expensive that the companies simply give up.

Buy Canadian goods for awhile until this blows over. When the PC's come to power they can negotiate a new trade deal. As far as uneven trade goes, Canada per person spends over $6000 US on US goods. The USA per person spends $1200 on Canadian goods. All the talking heads are experts of nothing. I guess I have to include you in that premise. By their own hand US and Canadian companies and western governments decided a couple decades ago that “ outsourcing” manufacturing and expertise to India/Asia would be a good idea.
The “post national” crap is just that. Trudeau ruined Canada. Biden the USA.
How can you two prognosticate and say things like “ we will need to subsidize citizens affected by high tariffs.”
