Been away for a few days and today bingewatched 4 videos! These cards are just beautiful! I realise watching the previous video that I was a bit late with my comment about story time, but as I said... I'm here for it all... community, storyline, new techniques... just love spending time with you!❤❤
Oooo - shiny! Both cards are so pretty. I’m glad you kept going. We’ve all had those walk away moments. We’ve also all had the “geez, why didn’t I think of that sooner?” Moments. It’s been a long while since I made a shadow box card. I sure like how to showed how to get the look without using the landscape dies - super clever of you!
Kelly...honey....I am 40 years old too...im irrational at times....am all the time making things more difficult than they need to be....you are NOT alone sister!!! I feel you!!! These cards turned out AMAZINGLY!!!! Big Hugs!!! Live ya bunches!!!!
These are SOOOOO PRETTY!!! Thanks for showing a different way to make them with other products! I'm on a spending freeze so I gotta use what I have...which is really ok & great because I have amassed some cool stuff! ❤
Yup, love that Iridescent Embossing. I need some of these powders for sure after watching you. You can officially say that you are an engineer now after making these cards. I recently made one with three layers on the front that opened and it almost drove me crazy but mastered it and it came out wonderful like your cards did. Stubbornness pays off sometimes. Lovely and thanks for all the wonderful ideas.
Received the iridescent embossing powder. Thank you for your insight into this new product. Brushing excess after heat embossing best tip. Love this video. Very informative. ❤️❤️❤️
Haha, Kelly, I literally would have completely done the same as you and totally forgotten my embossing ink pouncer - had I not just been watching you as I got to my background! Thank you for saving me the mess 😂 Kind regards from Germany, Nicola
I love purple, so I'm loving that purple card! As a side note, I don't use embossing powder often, I did recently and sadly ended up with a big mess, because I forgot to turn off the ceiling fan beforehand.
Oh no, my sympathies! I recently ended up with gold embossing powder everywhere and I don’t even know how I managed it. I thought I’d been careful and tidy. At least I hadn’t had a big fan get all “happy” with the powder. That’d be like one of my fears: my cats getting into stuff if I haven’t tightened lids and put things away. So far it hasn’t been too bad but they have stolen things from my craft room before. When Aurora was a tiny kitten she stole long-handled paintbrushes that were longer than her body, dragged them downstairs and I caught her just before she hid them in her stash. It’s how I learnt she had a stash.
It only takes one mistake. 😊 Now, whenever I know I will be using embossing powders or anything that can blow away or dry too quickly, I turn on the floor fan that blows under my table instead of the ceiling fan. Helps with my dry eyes too.
I opted for the add one this time instead of the kit, but this is a very pretty scene you created. Keep it real because I am a very hit and miss crafter and sometimes forget how to do the basics. It’s nice to know you have moments too!
Thank you for being real about trouble with stamping/die cutting! That makes me feel better. Love those iridescent powders, and what you’ve done with them!
Kelly I love your cards! They are beautiful! Where did you get that glue gun for liquid glue. My hand arthritis is getting to where I can’t squeeze the glue bottle. Please and thank you!
Lovely cards. When you do your video about caseing cards, I’d be interested to know your thoughts on how you get around the idea that you’re caseing when you’re using the same products. What I mean is, so often when makers are using the same products in their videos, it *looks* like people are caseing each others’ cards even though they’ve all been made at around the same time. Then when others use the same products it can look like you’re caseing even if you haven’t seen it and/or it’s unintentional. I like the cards you’ve made but I’m hesitant to buy those stamps and dies because any card I made would look like an imitation. Admittedly the people I send cards to are highly unlikely to even be aware of other crafters but some people use google search.
