From a 64 year old working Brickie, knowledge of a trade is one thing that no one can take from you. It will feed and look after you if you respect it. God Bless you both and cherish the time you have together.
Lovely to see a young fella taking notice of a proper brick layer and actually taking it all on board - my dad taught me and believe me it was really hard graft - I’ve been on the trowel 40 years plus and worked in Germany in the nineties and covered just about everything on the trowel- my 3 boys have all followed me and are all descant trowels as well as my older grandson who is 15 and just starting to learn ( keep it up son and I know a good brick layer when I see one and you’re father is very very good- 🍀👍
Good work youngen. My dads a joiner I’m a bricky, my brothers work for him I chose my own path. Lend him a hand every now and then and it’s our bonding. He’s proper old school grafter. Appreciate all the moments even the bollockings mate, it’s all for your own good. God bless lads Pat
Still work with my dad, I’m 41 and he’s 71 and still going strong, he’s really old school dean, being laying since he was 15 and I’m the same. Great work and nice to see someone raising a man and not some little ponce,
Well done dene nice to see your boy doing well that's what's it's about helping these young lads learn the trade pat on the back for you to allow him to have a go keep up the good work guys 👍
Great content.👊 like the videos and pleased for the young lad at least trying and giving it a shot. Most wouldn't want to be in front of the camera but just keep trying. At least the Old man is showing you the way great content.👊 Great stuff Bless.
My father got me apprenticeship 23 years ago he was a old school labourer 3,1 squad he told the bricklayers there moves still to meet a labourer who could lace his boots
The answer is in this question He is the son of me and is 17 ..the reason I Dnt name him is to protect him and his confidence from the uneducated keyboard warriors …he will become public on here in the next year or so . This young man will lead
Dean, real sad that you had to turn comments off.. You’s people who constantly feel the need to put Dean’s Bricklaying SKILLS down are real sad.. This is his Bread & Butter and I don’t care what anyone says, Dean’s definitely one of the best Bricklayers I’ve come across, so show the fella some respect.. If you can’t do that, then go and troll someone else..✌🏼
He can’t be doing that well if he’s taking constant stick on here and constantly complaining about being on a public platform and being abused! Unless it’s the old adage of ‘Hello Mr Ego, you need lil massage?’ 😂😂😂
you all look so awkward while working and deff tryin to over complicate every situation like your the only one who knows how to do it. Watch collinson n you might learn a thing or 2

Just a suggestion wouldn’t it make sense to use a pulley instead of using a hod and then a wheel barrow on each section of scaffolding.
