Can you tell why you add two envelopes to the same target (coarse)? I do not own Serum. But I believe the two envelopes will be "summed". So is the reason to somehow smoothen the envelope in a way a single one could not achieve? Great video by the way!

One is longer than the other, so the longer one shapes the whole kick while the shorter one emphasizes the initial punch for a harder hitting kick
You are right in that it sums, however the summed signal is harder to create manually by itself, and has a more complex curve
