A compilation of most of the commands for the Interactive R2-D2. I think that the toy is a worthy purchase - you get hours of fun and it is a good showpiece.
Even though Kenny Baker brought R2-D2 to life in costume, sound designer Ben Burtt brought the voice of the astromec droid to life. So in other words, Kenny Baker as R2-D2 and Ben Burtt as the Voice of R2-D2.
Don’t know why, but wouldn’t have been kind of surprising if they decided to add an easter egg where if they ask if R2 remembers “George Lucas” or “John Williams”, then R2 would beep out the 20th Century fanfare?

No, this is the Interactive R2-D2, released in 2002. It was also rereleased a few times, most notably in 2007. The Smart R2 is much smaller, (Around 10 inches, while the Interactive R2-D2 is 16 inches tall.)
Are you certain that you have the Hasbro Interactive R2-D2, and not the Thinkway Interactive Robotic Droid R2-D2? Those are two completely different R2-D2's, that are the same size.

I still have mine from 2002! At this point, the plastic is yellowed and he is missing a few pieces, but i have a ton of great memories with him.
