    Sir, Can you please tell the physical interpretation of resistance r_D? is it due to minor carrier charge flow i.e drift current? is the drift current and reverse saturation current same thing? is the diffusion current and I_majority same thing?

    Thanks for giving a beautiful lecture about this topic
    It helped a lot to get good marks in my exam
    without this lecture, it would be hard to pass in this subject
    thanks a lot _/\_

    In piece wise model question. Rd is Vd / Id. Why you did minus (0.8-0.7) /10-0 ?. Please reply

    • @kiransubba1183
      @kiransubba1183 Год назад +2

      R d is one by slope
      And slope is (10-0)/(0.8-0.7)
      Therefore r d is (0.8-0.7)/(10-0)

    9:38 if diode resistance=0, then Vb is also 0 right? Then why are taking Vb as 0.7 or 0.3? I don't get. Plz someone explain.

    • @komalpanchal9041
      @komalpanchal9041 3 года назад

      as for the constant voltage drop we have made two assumptions, firstly we have to assume the linear curve instead of small non linearity and secondly we have to consider rd = 0, which is diode resistance, if diode resistance is zero that doesn't mean that Vb will be zero, Vb is constant for any type of diode. there will be sudden flow of electron, thats why the VI graph will be at 90 degree.

    but at barrier potential we will get some current(reading) slightly more than 0(according to the graph also), then why we consider the current 0??

    Can someone help
    Does Diode resistance depend upon Barrier potential???
    Because as far as my knowledge Resistance do depen on biasing but Does it depend on barrier potential????

    • @education69420
      @education69420 2 года назад

      Barrier potential would be the point upon exceeding which, electrons will move through the depleted region and current starts to flow (already explained in previous lectures). So yeah resistance does depend on barrier potential. Higher the barrier potential higher would be the resistance
