It inspired me to work past my traumas and better myself. I wish if he knew the impact that he had on me. One of my few famous idols because of how real he keeps it, I wish him the best on his journey and hope to meet him one day.

I like how they made a talking point on being alone. It’s a strong thing to protect and be protected by your energy. As I’ve grown through the last 10 years, I’ve noticed I’ve grown a lot more being vulnerable around people I trust. I think it’s important to have a small group of people to depend on and vice versa. The world is about love and connection and you’ll grow so much more around love.
I have always been able to get more done when I'm by myself and I'm a people person and I always wind up with different friends pulling me in way to many different directions. So now I manage that shit. It's sad because I love people.
Kevin is so down to earth and is so inspirational, if I could spend a day or even a weekend with him, my whole outlook on life would be so different.

Gates you spoke to my soul when you said that you had to heal your inner child. I feel like I’m at that point of healing. My mother is coming home in a few days from doing a almost 10 year bid. I was about 11/12 when she left im 21 now.I won’t lie I feel like my family and I did the bid with her. I didn’t realize how much I needed her until I got older. I also have a babygirl named mckenzie and I feel like I’m not showing my soft side with her as much as I want to. I’m trying to get there though! I know it may take time and patience with myself

Absolutely loved this interview with Big Boy and Gates. I could listen to these speak for days and days and days. I always feel more “spiritually fulfilled” if that makes sense after Gates interview. Born and raised in Baton Rouge all my life and saw this man come up. Hell I worked security at AAA nightclub on Bennington Ave and I remember his first concert/show back when he got outta prison. Gates is definitely a different breed. Feel fortunate I got to watch his come up and to know where he came from. Keep doing your thing Gates. Always got ur back…

@BRIAN FRANKS it's called fasting a holy month of Ramadan for Muslim people. We break a fast at night, have few hours to get food in our system, next day before the sunrise you prepare yourself for fasting and pray. That month you find yourself, clean yourself, and appreciate what you have in this life. Elhamdulillah

I just had to have this conversation with my father. I feel at peace to have had the conversation good or bad. I needed it. I also had the a conversation with my mom who I hold to high regards but she is not always right and we found peace after having a discomfort momentarily
by far the hardest part of fasting is the boredom. If you've never done a multiday fast, you have no idea the enormous amount of your daily time is spent thinking about, preparing, or eating food. Depending on your lifestyle, it can be really hard to fill all that extra free time. If you want a fast to be easy, start it when you are very busy
