One thing I've noticed in Katt's interviews is, he has the unparalleled ability to relate to others. He stated he doesn't do these to promote anything, and he only talks to people he actually respects and wants to talk to. It shows, because he understands and appreciates their craft well enough to relate it to his own. That shows how much he respects the interviewers. It's obvious that he watched them as a fan beforehand, otherwise, he wouldn't be able to make such accurate comparisons. I love Tyson and Hotboxin' - but Katt is much more of a conversational interviewee. More just isn't always better; you can tell he has a reverence for Mike and his track-record. I had to pause this midway, just to say… I’m grateful that I have seen at least half of this conversation, and it’s just a conversation. It is rare to see Mike in the company of someone he genuinely respects, and it is revealing to see his “guard” down! It makes sense that Katt says he is the calming nature to the beast when he mentions himself usually involved with the aggressive types. Is he a beast too…? As I sit here at my workshop on Christmas day missing my wife, my dogs and really questioning if this mission I'm on is gonna be worth it. My heart tells me yes, but my brain isn't always so sure. Katt just reminded me who the f#@k I am. I'm silently the king of my lane as well, I've just got more miles to travel yet on my journey before I get to the treasure. Hearing Mike and Katt both talk about all the "free" gigs they did in the beginning just snapped me right out of my trance of self doubt.
