There is decent data on glutamine benefits post surgery/injury. And it is really good for gut health. Glutamine is used to produce the lining of the digestive tract.

Started a pretty intense strength training program two months ago. There was a throwaway paragraph in Arnold's Encyclopedia about taking glutamine because strength training depletes your immune system / glutamine stores and I sorta scoffed at that as some bro science... I never get sick. I take vitamin D regularly. I'm one of those guys that if I do get sick, I get the sniffles for like 48 hours and then I'm good.
Yeah two months into a strength training regiment and not taking glutamine and I had already been sick twice; both times it hung on way longer. Just had to go on an antibiotic for a really bad sinus infection that lingered two weeks. I never go on antibiotics lol. Yeah, adding some glutamine into my protein shakes from here on out and I'm stopping training entirely until I get this thing kicked. Sorry I doubted you, Arnold.

Could help with muscle growth by fixing the gut and helping to digest food, but yeah probably more of a health supplement

I like to take 2 to 3 grams of L-Glutamine with coconut water first thing in the morning the day after a workout. I'm always sore on these mornings and this drink helps a lot. Other than that I may or may not add 2 to 3 grams of L-Glutamine to my whey protein shake after a workout.

Cold* showers might also help you on your fat loss journey, but you wanna do those first thing in the morning or BEFORE a workout. Taking a cold shower following your workout will actually attenuate muscle gain.
CBD is good for inflammation. Kratom is good for pain, but it is habit forming, you do build a tolerance. It's actually a good pre-workout and post-workout.

1 gram protein per kg of bodyweight, lots of water, sleep and at least 2 rest days per week

The most important things are sleep and a well rounded diet with lots of good protein and water.

He took caffeine as a result of feeling flat because of his increases usage of amino acids.
