Dad always had Foghorn on the Pitts S2b that stemmed from Nealey Foods Chicago had the loony toons on the back of all the trucks. (I got to find some pictures with the old trucks)
His air show call sign was Rooster1. So this is a 1946 L4 and Foghorn was created in 1946.
This image being from the 1955 “All Fowled up”.
The rugged look of this L4 just screamed for this addition being in my possession. It really means a lot to do this on my own and gain my license and fly out of here(home) under my own power. This really caps that. Dream come true!
When I think of aviation I think of destiny. I was born into flying its all I can remember. Life got in the way, yet today I stand here a private Pilot with my own airplane and now with a symbol in hierarchy from my youth.
