Laci Jane DIY can I use them as a permanent thing for my house
Jaimy Jeancharles I will say that these are still up at my exes house! And it’s been what like 4 -5 years?!
Jaimy Jeancharles you will just need to go in and glue the edges with E6000 (clear)
Laci Jane DIY what do you mean by the edges
@@jaimyjeancharles5713 over time the corners may start to lift up so you'll want to go in with some E6000 glue
As a landlord I wouldn’t make you take that off. It looks awesome.
PERFECTION. This is the most perfect thing EVER.
I love the black and white combination 😍
OMG thank you!!!! We just bought a home and were paying to have granite countertops put in, but i really don’t w2ant to spend tons more on backsplash and i want to do it myself and this way i can!!! Yahoo! I just subscribed to you and now I’m excited to see what all I can learn from you. Thank you
thanks, you answered my question about putting these stick ons over existing tile. what a relief.
Yes!! Pretty cool stuff :)
My wife and I will be doing this project in the coming days. Thanks for the videos.
adam cooper Awesome! Good luck!!
Thank you I'm getting ready to try in my kitchen. Now I feel confident on this. Thank you for the video.
Good thing I checked this video out before asking! And thanks for the hint about the grout/seal. I know I would be one of the people who doesn't - and then wonders why they're moving.
Thank you for this update! I was wondering how they hold up.
Thanks for the update, much appreciated
They look amazing. I'm totally going to do this when we renovate our home.
Sami Kay Awesome! It'll make a HUGE difference
THANKS so much for this follow up I was curious about the "removal." I'll be moving to an apartment so I'll have to stick to temporary wallpaper. 😔 Your kitchen looks great! 👍🏾 TFS
Thank you! I'm glad you liked the video and hopefully they will come up with something more temporary for renters.
I'm a property manager and if someone did this to my apartment..correctly.. at their cost...I would LOVE it. I always appreciate any improvement .
Use contact paper
I'm glad you posted this. I have been considering doing peel n stick. Most blogs or DIY Videos only shoe the right after.
Hi you can purchase them through our website, we ship them globally, www.alumaxpanel.com our peel and stick tiles come with 10 years warranty as well
It looks awesome !!!!!! I’m doing mine this weekend.
Hey! THANK YOU for the great video! Question - how did you cut these tiles? Like to go around outlets especially?
I have these in my kitchen. £1 each from pound land. worth every penny easy to apply and keep clean. and they look great.
Thank you for sharing that, Tracey!
Pound Land?..where is this Pound-Land?
UK I believe
Thanks SO much for this!! I was wondering JUST these very questions!
Hey, no problem! Thanks for watching!
I love them !! I have a country kitchen so I am looking at the faux pressed tin tiles.
Awesome!!
So I can put them on top of my existing tile, but how do I cover each end because it ends will show through. Thanks!
Your look has certainly changed a lot since you did the mirror spray paint video! Glad to see you doing well. Carry on!
Thank you for all your comments :)
Love it thanks so much this helped in making my decision so much easier and if it lasts so long why not go with smart tiles!
karin collado No prob, glad you enjoyed and were able to make a decision. please note, these are not smart tiles though. I used Crystiles found on Amazon
Thanks for the update!
Your Kitchen is super gorgeous!
Thanks for this video. It was so helpful.
Looks awesome.
thanks for the update...question...how did you install around light switches? PS: love the hair color.
Beautiful! This is what I am going to use when I am done painting the counters like granite! Yikes..
Awesome! I can't wait to see it :D
How did your countertop end up?
Bought these months ago and hesitated to use ! Thanks for encouragement
You can do it!!
I can't find the original video. How did you handle the 90 degree angles where the walls meet?
You are very pretty and your back splash looks great like you have a wonderful day
Looks very nice. We're going to do this!
I watched your first video to get the motivation to do the backsplash in my own kitchen and I got halfway through the kitchen and I was like this would be so much easier if you use one of those paper cutter from school
Fabulous!!! I love it!😊
i was so curious ! thanks for the video !
Stephanie Herrera 5tg
Great
i love these tiles. where can i find that design in red
I only found your channel today and I’m loving your content. I’m working my way through your videos so if this has already been asked then I apologise. Could you do a video on your makeup routine? I’ve noticed you look gorgeous and I particularly love your cool tones in this video. Sending you some love from England.xx
If you want to use these back splashes in an apartment, get some stick pins or drywall pins and use those instead of gluing them!
6irl.a.6o6o have you tried doing it with stick pins or drywall pins?
Good idea! Or command strips! I actually just moved into an apartment and I'm going to get these again and come up with some sort of idea to use them..I'll make a follow up video!
Laci Jane DIY thanks
Hi! You did a great job! Thank you for the referral to Amazon bks I looked at home depot and 7 tiles were $270.00...whaaa! I'm checking these out PRONTO!
Thank you!👍💕
Thank you! Good luck!!
for the love of it all those are probably the ceramic tiles and yes they are same price as glass tiles...in this video she did stickers...I did them too...love them
Thanks for the follow-up!
Thank you!
Great video! Your hair😍😍
Looking super lovely Lacey 😍😍😍
ahuertas69 thank you
Hey just FYI to the bit about not using them in a rental...you can remove these by using a hair dryer to heat up the adhesive.
Thank you so much!
Welcome!
This is the color of my kitchen except for appliances. Mines are stainless steel. I think I will try these
So glad i came across your channel!! 💝
ceesarah _ so glad go have you here 💗
Great video..thanks...getting ready to do the same thing....love love your hair btw...😊
You can do it! And thank you!
Could back splash peel and stick go directly on compound skim coated wall
I thought I'd ask if these peel & stick tiles will stick to an oil based painted wall, rather than a water based paint? Thanks!
i think you should try it in bathroom wall tile!! would be very interested in how that would turn out in a bathroom or shower!!
These are not waterproof, your walls would be ruined in no time. If you apply them over old tile they won't last that long in a shower. They would be ok along a sink.
Corinne McLeod will they b okay behind the sink
I read somewhere that they become discoloured, did this happen with yours overtime? X
Can you try it on the car dashboard and do a 6 months update vid. I live in a mobile home and I'm curious.
Why would you want that on a car dash?
you are adorable. love your style.
would they damage your tile if you need to take it back off?
How many packs did u buy since they come in a pack of 6?
How did you cut the tiles for areas near outlets? Thanks!
With scissors! Super easy
Looks good bet landlord would love it
Hey love how your kitchen looks :) can I just stick them to tiles without messing up the tiles?
Yes You can :)
Laci Jane DIY okay, thanks :)
Thanks 😊
Thanks, Linda
I want to do this, did you have to pull out your stove and fridge to put it back there?
why would you want to put it behind something you cant see
I got mine (Montreal) ... 4 tiles for $5.00 ... Same as in vid
Jakie Bourg do you know the name of the brand you bought and the store and do they ship also
Would it be okay to put them on existing Formica backsplash
Yes
Omg I just thought of that, can it go on top of tiles..
Yes Martine!!!!
Omg where have u been all my life???? New subscriber right here
Aww I've been right here waiting for you :D
Do you think I could use these in my shower (over tile)?
No, they won't hold up in water
Can this go over subway tiles in a bathroom were it gets moisture?
No
Money well spent!!!
Hi Laci, do you think peel n stick would work on textured walls? Thanks for your help!
You would need a smooth surface
Hi Laci, thanks so much for your reply! And BOOO.. I kinda knew it though, LOL Nothing works on these dang walls, except for hanging up pics.. oh well.. lol
Any reason why I can't apply peel and stick over peel and stick?
You will need a smooth surface
I put mine on yesterday and woke up this morning to the ones over the stove had fallen off 😲😣. Suggestions?
Sherri Boesen did you clean the surface first there’s a lot of grease and grim in that area you gotta make sure it’s completely clean you’re gonna need soemthing heavy duty
I don't have smooth walls due to the stucco. So they are lifting. So you said E6000 glue?? I guess I will re-stick with the glue. Thank you. Debra
Yes, Debra, E6000 will help hold them onto place but be careful because it will ruin your walls if you want to remove them later on xo
U had a textured wall it says flat surface did yours still stick
Yeah, they did start to lift at the edges after about 6 months so I used E6000 glue to seal them back down and haven't had a problem since!
I love how you spell your name
you're so pretty:)
aw thank you
Just use a hair drier to warm up the glue before removing the tiles.
Good idea!
Why s mine peeling off?
Just a comment..........You have beautiful eyes !!!
So pretty....dangit.
Thanks!
how much was the total cost for the tiles
200
I'm here because your cute lol...good job on tile too 😉
Gross dude, you're so old
Could I lay these on my driveway?
No, these are only good for interior use
I kind of want a grape Popsicle right now...
LOL :)
Some apartment managers allow you to leave new pain or improvements if they look nice. So, before painting back to how it was before, I'd ask the manager. You might save yourself a lot of work.
You can also get from Amazon, 12/12 and 10 in a box, much better.
Where do you get these?
I got mine off of Amazon. These are the exact ones I have amzn.to/2ud1iuy
Did you install yours over existing tiles?
Jonathan Hobbs Nope, but you can
Laci Jane DIY my biggest concern would be the fact that the grout grooves are not flush with the tile so maybe the adhesive would be weaker? I wonder if I could put silicone in the grooves to level it out.
That could work! I know a lot of people have used these over their tiles with no issues.
wait what if you own your apt? you can do what you want to your walls
Heather Knight obviously it wouldn't be a rental then.
What brand did you use?
Crystiles on amazon. Affiliate link in the description
You remind me of a Monster High doll. 😊 That's a compliment. 😁
Goa Way haha thank you!!
Laci Jane
You're welcome. ☺
Adorable! I wanna be 30 again!
Shoot, I wish i had seen this vid first. I just starting ripping off all the old existing tiles.
For $200 lol definitely a win. I wouldn't even be able to realistically paint that space for that lol
Use a hair dyer to remove safely
if i was renting i would ask the landlords permission first. if done properly i think it enhances the kitchen, but then the landlord has to trust that you will do it properly.
Do these resist stains from the usual offenders (cigarette smoke...yes, I know.....just quit.... :p red sauce, grease/oil, bleach, fading from cleaning products, sun etc.?) Also, are they scratch resistant (i.e. what do you use to wipe them down? Sponge? Cloth? Towel? Being they would likely be near food surfaces, I would want to wipe down with a disinfectant. Just like I would with my painted walls. Especially, if I splash chicken goo, fish, etc. Safe from kitty claws? I can see it now, " Oooh. Pretty colors! This is new. Let's scratch it!" lol.....) How about heat resistance to foods that may splatter, in particular grease? In my mind, I feel like they could melt, bubble, etc. I'd hate to ruin them. I just found your channel. Totally a new subscriber! Looking forward to trolling your videos! I kid, but not really..... ;)
Erica Yarnell haha thank you, Erica! I actually posted ANOTHER video showing how I clean it and other questions I get a lot. I clean mine with a wet washcloth and mild soap. I haven't had any issues with them staining or tearing. Just make sure to apply them to a flat, smooth surface and remove caulking, if you have any, prior to installing them. 💓
Holy crap! Is this a Halloween special?
You are one pretty girl.
aw thank you
You should have staggered the tiles, one full one on bottom then one full one on top. This way it didn't look as cookie cutter; although I do like the solid line it makes about 3/4 of the way up.
Shoot ask the landlord first then get reimbursed. It will bring up the value of the home.
cuteyyyyyyyyy
