We def need a sequel
Not gonna happen because:
1. The fanbase who refuse anything besides MW/UG1-2 formula.
2. Black Box is no longer there.
3. EA wouldn't like this idea and Criterion (Ghost in disguise) will flop their sequel.

NFS The Run was described as "the most underrated game" by the fans
I can agree with that. ProStreet and The Run were like a breath of fresh air at the time.
The irony is that only happened after 10 years these NFS came. Look the comments at launch the same ''fans'' mocked these NFS for the smallest and dumbest reasons like ''Where is NFS UG3/MW2?'' ''Where are the cops?'' ''Why no free roam?'' And like that.
People really who were brainwashed from that nostalgia forget the true roots of NFS. NFS The Run was throwback to their first NFS - HP2 for PS2 which was from the OG era (another NFS which captured that were HP 2010/Remastered and Rivals).
But yet NFS HP 2010 became 4th best selling NFS while NFS TR had poor sales. And NFS HP 2010 had more justice with the Remastered version porting the DLC for PC while NFS TR had the same fate but it didn't get the same justice.
