I took a calculated risk, sitting at the front, but off to the very far stage right, guessing that most of the moshing would be towards the center, since the hardcore fans and moshers would be concentrated in the center, and moving circular, and generally never reaching the far corners of the crowd. The gamble paid off - I was not moshed or crowd surfed all night. Like a fucking tripod the whole night!
