So I need some clarification. Is this a band that promotes Satan? Or is this a band that is just putting in a show to go against the pope as a costume act. Similar to like Black Sabbath, there is the sabbath, then Black Sabbath as a dark theme. I am just so confused if this is a band that loves Satan, or just sings about him as a theme. I am a Christian and cannot figure this out for the life of me. Love their costumes and beats.
I call their act "theatrical satanism". The characters they're all playing (Papa IV, The Ghouls) are satanic but the actual people behind them aren't... think of it like the show Lucifer, or the movie Devil's Advocate. What I think throws people is that singing hymns of praise are such a central part of Christian worship that they have a hard time understanding that singing about a thing isn't the same as praising a thing. Enjoy the music. Enjoy the theatrics. Go to a ritual and scream "HELL SATAN!" with thousands of other fans during Year Zero. Hold up your phone during He Is. Enjoy the antics of the Ghouls and after the show be confident that you just witnessed an incredible show by incredibly talented musicians .
It's theatrical. They're basically satirising the satanic panic, but it also works as a satire of organized religion, hence the Catholic imagery (the clergy being modeled on the Vatican for example.) The band has lore and videos on their RUclips channel. There's basically an (fictional) organisation that's using the band to corrupt the youth and spread satanism.
Was at this concert. Absolutely amazing! Definitely going to the next one I can
Thanks for posting, they were AMAZING!
Rain's SASS and the Ghoullettes, bro, I'm shaking
I'm not a big fan of this band, but Tobias is an amazingly charismatic frontman and the production value of this show is brilliant
Keep watching and you will be a big fan!

No, metal bands don’t actually worship Satan. It’s an act.
Its musical theatre.

@@Metal_junkI think some of the second wave black metal bands did, or that might've just been Euronymous
