Great sounding guitars. I gig with two of them for three years now. One with Wilkinson pups and the other with Roswell pups. No mods needed. Only disadvantage is they weigh like regular boat anchors: 4.2 kg. and 4.5 kg.

Is the skunk stripe plastic? Or wood?
I have one and love mine. Shoot I even put all new 52 fender USA pickups and controls in mine. It didn’t need it tho. It was so affordable that I wanted a project. It’s my favorite guitar.
Also if I bought mine 2 years ago, are the necks different now?
