      I hope he gets a lot of use out of it... before he grows out of it! When that happens, I hope the shirt is preserved! @@SpiritoftheOutdoors

      Mrs. Joyce, you absolutely hit it out of the ballpark with that shirt!! That little handsome devil looks even more handsomer :) I really like it that you have him even more extras!! Who else gets to play fishin with their SHIRT??!! He needs him some of them Swedish Fish candies to take out of his shirt cooler and he can Eat Em RAW!!! That little rascal is a MESS!! :)

      Tommy thank you so much. That really means allot. Yes he needs some swedish fish to put in his cooler...lol... Great idea. I loved making that shirt for him and making their cooler the same cooler with stickers and all. I love hearing him say put em in the cooler. That's his famous saying. Makes my day. Thank you for your kind words.

    There is some of that growing over in the next field. I think I'll take a little walk this afternoon and see what I can harvest. Drying is one of my favourite ways to 'keep' something until I can eventually get to it to use for salves and such. Thanks again for passing along your knowledge. Brody is one little cutie. Beautifully made shirt.

      Thank you Johnny, their is nothing actually that I can't embroider by hand and I can also make patches by hand as long as I've got something to go by. The cooler on Brody's shirt is Justin and Brody's cooler they use to put their fish in. I will be making him something else before long. Thanks for the compliments.

    Brody’s shirt is awesome! Y’all should get her to make some to sell for y’all! That is just too cute.
    Do you sweeten your tea or just drink it as is? Just wondering. We have a lot of goldenrod up here but I’ve never had it ever. My grandma always had wild peppermint growing by the creek and we’d chew it like gum lol. I loved it. I miss all that stuff. We had rabbit tobacco too growing up but we were sneaky kids and we would pick the dried leaves and crush them and roll them up and smoke rabbit tobacco cigarettes 😂. Oh me we were little too like 8-10 years old! We rolled it in brown paper bag paper 😂👏🏼👏🏼😂. We were mischievous I guess but we didn’t do too much bad stuff. (My first cousin Patrick and me-we were three months apart in age and thick as thieves. He’s passed away now 💔) Anyway y’all have a blessed day today. I found Michelle’s channel and have been watching it a lot as I have the time. I love her. She’s so sweet and kind natured. And a good cook! ❤

      I dont sweeten it often but i do occasionally with honey. Its an acquired taste. I never smoked it because i didnt know what it was then . We smoked curly dock and it was awful 😣. Lol 😂, she likes to film videos but dont have time and hates the editing. I dont have time to edit mine and hers right now

    I harvested 2 black garbage bags yesterday. I took some & hung to dry and some I put on window screens to air dry that I took off the stems. It doesn't take long for them to dry. I also love goldenrod tea and going back today to get a few more bunches as they are EVERYWHERE here in south AL. Some are already PUFFING UP so I need to get what I want while the getting is good. I sometimes use dried ginger (I grow), cinnamon sticks, Anise, peppermint/mint to add a different flavor and local raw honey to sweeten.
    Your little boy, Brody is cute as a button. The grin he had opening that package was PRICELESS!!
    What is the name of the FISHING KNIFE you used? Where can one be purchased? That definitely looks like a knife I need. No, I don't need another knife as I have so many now as I LOVE knives of all kinds and collect them. But I like that one I can use for fishing and have all I need in ONE KNIFE!
    LOVING your video's and all you are doing. I'm constantly doing SOMETHING on my homestead and love to see what others are doing in an affordable, efficient way. I'm old school and don't have a lot of fancy store bought gadgets. I use what I have or make what I need. But love my old ways of doing things. Still have the same outcome in a project, just doesn't cost me a fortune!! LOL!
    Be blessed always!

      Naw its not even close ragweed has small white blooms these are large yellow. Ragweed branches out and goldenrod is one stalk that heads out at the top

    I picked some tall golden rod at my grandmas house a couple of weekends ago and dries them out. Is that how I do it to make golden rod tea or do they need to be fresh. Also do I separate the leaves from the flowers or can I use both?

    • @roostermbakb6727
      @roostermbakb6727 11 месяцев назад

      By the way my tips are dry and fuzzy like you said.

    • @SpiritoftheOutdoors
      @SpiritoftheOutdoors  11 месяцев назад

      You can make tea from all if it fresh or dried. I use leaves mostly after it dries .
