The heroes during times of war are nothing but mass murderers during times of peace and nowhere is that more evident than Fullmetal Alchemist. Originally a manga, Fullmetal Alchemist was adapted into two different anime, one in 2003 and then another one in 2009. We will be focusing on the 2009 Brotherhood anime in this list as it’s more accurate to the manga than the 2003 version.

One note, Kimblee wasn't manipulated by the Homunculi, he knew what they were doing and chose to help them because he wanted to see which side would win. He was far too intelligent to be manipulated by them.

I was thinking that one terrible dad who used alchemy on his daughter and dog to be there.
To be fair, Tucker only really appears in one episode, he appears, is one of the worst characters in the show for 20 minutes, and then is a corpse, I wrote this script back in May, and have since learned that Shou is very infamous in the MHA community and sort of regret excluding him from this list. But yes, definitely should be in the evil category, possibly top three

Man I love FMA it Is Must Watch !! Amazing story with complete 64 episode where everything is on it's place, no fillers, nothing unnecessary Is added by creators. It has Thrill, Comedy, Hearthtouching moments, Great Protagonists, Great Antagonists. Only sad thing watching it is that you can't watch it for the first time again

Kind of surprised Kimblee and Tucker didn't make the list.
As for future series I'd love to see you cover Fairy Tail in both "Good to Evil" and "Weakest to Strongest", considering how big the cast is both should be very long lists.
As I've mentioned in other comments, Kimblee must have been just a mistake on my part for not including him as I don't remember why I excluded him, as for Tucker, he only really appears in one episode, so I didn't think he was that important, but now i know how much of a meme magnet he is and regret not putting him on the list

The only thing that could take points from Winry, in my opinion, was how much he beats Ed with a wrench. It might sound wrong but I wouldn't have minded seeing Ed returning the favor with his metal arm at least once like he did with Paninya when he punched her on the head.

I love this series 🤩💖 I watched them with my best friend and me and her are power the Alchemy of Silverwing and Nature Alchemist and I can't wait to meet Vic Mignogna along with my best friend and family too so I can tell him about the new video game that I can gonna make in the future. And also no spoilers and that's why me and my best friend wanted to become a Alchemist alongside with Edward, Alphonse and thier friends to fight off against Father and save the world and protect the innocent people and I love the song called: Brothers by Vic Mignogna it's a really great and emotional song ever!! I have thoughts. I have opinions.
As wild as this is gonna sound, I think the homunculi are not actually that evil. We see with Greed what happens when they disobey Father. So we can assume that they were all under threat of death if they were to fail. We also see that once separated from Father, they are able to become good people who care about others. I would argue that Pride was the most evil of the homunculi, but given a chance at life away from Father, he is able to become a well adjusted young boy. I actually think the same would be true of all the other homunculi if given the same opportunity. I have this theory about each of them having different coping mechanisms for what they’re forced to do. Gluttony regresses into a childlike state, Lust focuses on what makes humans flawed while ignoring their virtues in order to distance herself from them, Envy tries to find enjoyment in inflicting pain while living in denial of his true feelings towards humans, Wrath finds solace in his wife and the fact that she was the one choice he was allowed to make for himself, and Sloth has no energy to form a coping mechanism so he openly complains about what he’s being made to do.
Also, this is gonna blow everyone’s mind, but did you realize that Envy’s total kill count is two?

That would be a very difficult list to make, maybe Dere Types good to evil, but best to worst or worst to best is so subjective no-one would agree

IMHO no matter how sympathetic we want to be towards Maes Hughes, I don't think he belongs in 3rd place. He's a good family man and he died heroically trying to avert the homunculi's plot, but that's not all there is to his life. He also fought in Ishbal, and while he didn't call the shots, he still participated passively into a genocide. The only "good" thing to do in Ishbal would have been to desert, even at the risk of one's own life. It's understandable why many didn't, but to quality as truly "good", deserving of that almost saint-like status, one would have to go that far (like the Rockbells did, putting their lives on the line and eventually losing them).

Honestly I don't think there could be a better list for this show, only small changes would be to rank Barry the Chopper, That father who experimented on his wife and daughter. The officer who was framed and had to go into hiding aswell as Jean Havoc

Good effort but I'm a bit disappointed as you guys left out so many characters such as Shao Tucker, Paninya, Father Cornello, Tim Marcoh, Solf J. Kimblee, Winry's parents, Trisha Elric, Sheska, Nina Tucker and so many more, I'm actually surprised that Oliver Mira Armstrong ranked so high in the Good tier I was expecting her to be in the Grey Area.
For Shou Tucker you should leave several spots empty at the end, then place him there. Just to make clear how fucked up he is.

@@mr.l3938 - If it wasn't for the 2003 series debuting in the States in 2004, it wouldn't have been a big enough success to have gotten FMA:B. Sure it ended sourly, but it had so much more going for it that today's generation hates to admit to.
@@chrisrj9871 I do agree with u one the first points I have to disagree that it ended sourly No it didn't it's basically the core messages of the story which is unfairness and imperfection and Edwards growth every episode starts with one of the brothers talking about Equivalent Exchange but each episode keeps questioning and breaking those principles in big and small ways and then soon that intro in the beginning of every episode starts to change the ending has also been foreshadowed with how the Philosopher's Stone Works really the ending is basically an embodiment of the core messages and Edwards growth a literal metaphor of growing up learning that the world is unfair but seeing the beauty of it learning the truth about the world and going to the real Adult World it's more of a philosophical reflection on life and don't worry people still love it to this very day it's just that the Brotherhood fanbases way more cancerous but in the end both versions are great though and both endings are equally as great
@@mr.l3938 - "Sourly" was probably not the right word. A lot of people hate the 2003 series (and a lot of people DON'T) because the later episodes strayed from the original manga (which wasn't completed yet), and also that it just got kinda strange. But it started out fantastically; all the important episodes (mainly the big death scenes) were done so much better than in FMA:B. All I'm saying.
@@chrisrj9871 well here's the thing it was never meant to be a full adaptation the director said in an interview ''when he and the team started the fma adaptation there were only one or two volumes out at the time so when i started the project there wasn't pressure to be faithful to the original story it was more about creating an original story that would last a full season''. there more too what he said but that the important thing there was no divergence point it was original straight from the get-go there were even original characters like sloth that popped up in the earlier parts of 03 serve as a good example and stuff being changed around or added scene which overall create its own story so it ain't really that strange the homunculi stuff did make sense so does the gate as well everything is connected to those core messages and also the other core messages in the series they only did adapt some parts of the manga and the characters but overall everything was different since the very beginning but i do agree with you it we do have a bunch more time with characters that are about to die which makes their deaths way more impactful im sorry for the rambling btw
