I’ve been struggling being happy in our new home. We gave up our dream home that we built to make better financial decisions. Seeing you be so thankful in your home, being patient with all the updates, flowing with grace when it is messy is so so encouraging to me. Teaches me that I need to be thankful for what I have❤️
We all need that reminder sometimes. I’m renting a run down 2 bedroom apartment with my 3 kids. Some days it’s home and some days it’s the bane of my existence. You’re so right!! Gotta be thankful ❤️

I love your enthusiasm and energy. My daughters house looks like yours- before you clean lol. She has two kids under 5 and works as an accountant from home. I was just trying to help and offered my assistance to clean - from my heart. She looked at me, smiled and said ‘that’s you Mum’ I don’t need a sanitised home’ . ‘I feel safe and happy in my home’. I realised that’s all that I could ever ask for her. It matters more than any washing or dirty dishes 💖💖💖💖

The apologizing for my kids 100% hit home from me. I’ve talked about this several times with people close to me but I am so worried about what everyone thinks at the grocery store. Even if they are just joking with each other a little to loud and someone looks I’m telling them to stop and say sorry to the person who shot the look. I am done doing that. They are not being naughty, they are being kids and if you don’t like it get your groceries delivered.
You know I used to be like that in my early years with my own kids and grandkids. Now at 63 when a child dies something that the adult tell the child to apologize, I say thank you and say you are the best mom you can ever be. No worries, i understand. I used to be a school teacher. Children will always be children at any age. Look at me I'm 63 and still I am a little girl when I see something I like. Again you are doing a great job. Keep doing what you are doing with a big smile. Just like you are doing with your children too. Be the best parents, grandparents, family member you can be. You never know what anyone is going through on the inside if you do not smile. Smile can make the ice melt deep down inside the soul of any person. Be blessed bc you are a blessing.
I will say this while kids can and should be kids I do know if as a parent they are not taught how to behave in public we then have adults who think society needs to put up with whatever they dole out. Im not speaking in cases of children who have issues and I definitely as a parent never expect any parent to apologize but age and time appropriate, private corrections should happen. I am quite sure your kids are not misbehaving to cause others problems Merina.
I have been in the biggest rut with my depression and my house for months now. It's been terrible. Watching this, I want to go clean!! Exactly what I needed!! Thank you ☺️

Hello I just want to say thank you i watched youre video this morning and you movated me into cleaning out my closet i got rid of three big bags of clothes that i havent worn in months and i donated them to good will and i felt really good about it, im 70 yrs old and again thank you, i love watching you and youre beautful family. Rome wasn't built in a day. It takes time to really clean & declutter. You got this girl. We got this. I'm about to start deep cleaning & decluttering my house room by room. No time limit. Just gonna start from one end & work my way down til I'm done. Just took a bunch of stuff to goodwill today. Got rid of riding toys, toys my grands have outgrown, a bike no one likes, 4 Christmas trees, decor for different holidays that I don't want anymore, clothes, & a bunch of other stuff. If it doesn't serve a purpose or I don't absolutely love it, then it's out of here. Having less stuff makes it so much easier to keep your house cleaner. Let's do the dagum thing together. I was a house keeper at a hotel, private homes, and at my university...the pumice stone is what I was going to suggest for the toilet, it was what we used and really does work...as you now know!

My house has looked almost exactly like this lately as I’ve been going through a lot with work and we gave your orbital method a go in the livingroom and kitchen today and it worked amazing for me! So after watching this I sorted out my laundry to get going for tomorrow (10 loads) I’ve been slacking and loaded and started my dishwasher! I really needed this! It’s toooo late for me to start cleaning tonight but doing just that feels like a lot! Lol

Oh, and a little laundry advice, something I’ve only started implementing myself in the last few months. Smaller loads. It tricks my brain into thinking I have less to do. Nothing worse than opening up the dryer to a big tangled wrinkled mess. Smaller loads feel easier to tackle AND my clothes definitely seem cleaner. Just keep a steady train of loads going and when it’s folding time that little load doesn’t seem so bad and you get a little time in between before it’s time to fold a little load again

i love how you go at your own pace and dont stress a made up time line, like if you dont finish in one day its no big deal to take a break and come back to it! also before we had family over for christmas my husband and I did so much cleaning and I was like Wow Im doing the dang thing like Merina!! now i know how you feel in every video, you do so much!! :)
Yes girl, Jesus first! He is the answer to all the problems in our lives. I love your standard of “ just wearing matching socks”. That melted my heart. I’m so happy that you are loving your children and ignoring the judgie people. Keep decluttering because you can’t organize too much inventory. 40 years ago I had a 2year old and a 15 month old when I found out we were expecting baby 3. When I realized I would have 3 in diapers (cloth) for awhile. I read an organizing book that said don’t try to keep 25 pounds of stuff in a 5 pound house, it was life changing. My husband was in a 3year PhD program and we lived in a small apartment. Every spare minute I had I decluttered. Once I completely decluttered it was so easy to maintain a clean apartment. You have made such a beautiful home, Marina! I didn’t want it to end…so much motivation! If you ever decide to put a shelving system in that closet next to your tub you could have a great space for bathroom back stock and possibly fit you vacuums and mops in there too.

You go girl! Getting organized is important, but sometimes staying organized can be a problem. You have your hands full with 4 children, home schooling, etc. I’ve found it helpful to try and put things away right after I use them instead of leaving it on the counters. Again, being motivated is important. Hopefully after you get the bathroom finished you’ll be so impressed with your achievement you will keep it up.
I love your videos and watching your family work together. You give me motivation to get up and clean up. Today me and my boys 10 yrs and 9 yrs cleaned up their room. Three bags of trash and 2 bags to donate. Thank you. 😊

Thank you for normalizing a lived in house. And one that does not have to be picture perfect. I love the houses that are beautiful laid out but I have three kids and my bathrooms are small smaller then when I lived in a trailer. More times then not I have to chose functional over pretty and it does make me sad sometimes to think maybe I am less for not that picture perfect home. But New Years resolution I’m working on that. And I have been doing fly lady cleaning for little over a month and it’s helping so much but some days I still go to bed with a dirty sink but hey I’m trying and I’m not giving up ❤️
I think you will feel so much better mentally when you get everything organized and decluttered.! I don’t mean that as an insult as my house was HORRIBLE at one point. It was so bad I couldn’t even walk through the garage to get to my car and my laundry closet you’d open the door and stuff would fall out everywhere etc. every closet was bursting at the seams, nothing was organized etc. I suffer from depression and anxiety and I am trying to homeschool 2 kids and do it all and once I got things under control around me I felt like I personally felt better mentally. I hope this is the case for you also. Your taking the first step by trying so that’s all you can do. I got for a cardiologist appointment today to review test results. I’m beyond terrified and my anxiety is really flaring up. Please say a prayer for me.

I have combined the Flylady & Clean Mama cleaning routine & it really works. Doing simple routines everyday helps maintain & keep my home clean & tidy. The 1 load of laundry everyday has made a world of difference.

I've been cleaning one room at a time top to bottom it may take 2 or 3 days but I've doing it , you spoke of flylady and I finally get it , i have been sick since Christmas and because I did the cleaning projects my house didn't get to flipped ,but I do ask God every morning give me the strength, Girl i think we can do this , dag gum let's get it done .

That's way I did my closet, everything came out, including the carpet! I cleaned it, put down floors, painted walls and absolutely nothing went back in it unless I knew 100% it would be worn. I LOVE IT! I don't get the creeps going in there now!🤣🤣🤣

Looks great! A suggestion, I found box spring covers on Amazon, it’s a stretchy fabric that covers around the box spring and dresses it up! I use one in my bedroom because I couldn’t stand bed skirts hanging and these are a lot easier to keep on as well! They come in all different colors.

I keep my vitamins where my coffee cup is so I remember to take them in the morning. Your organization is really coming along. Just do what works best for you. My mom always had a brush in the kitchen she could grab before we went out the door. Happy New to your beautiful family.
Thank you for another awesome video! I was going to mention since you have limited space like myself, one thing I do is keep any "xtras" in a separate space like my hallway or bedroom closet so it's easier to keep things organized, then very easy when I run out of something to get it & I don't have so much inventory in too small of a space. So I just keep 1 deodorant, 1 hairspray, etc in my bathroom. Even my kitchen I decided to remove certain appliances or whatever I don't use very often & put them in a box in the garage(I know you don't have one) so things are easier to keep clean/organized. You have a really nice size closet in your bedroom if you ever end up having any space to keep "xtras" in there it might help😉. Thank you as always for the motivation I need so badly!!

I love your videos! I am 66 years old and live in TN in a 4 br home. But exciting news for me. We bought property in SC and we are in the process of buying a new single wide MH ! We are buying the Cool Breeze ! Look at it on line when you can! It will be for vacation for a while. Then when my husband retires it will be our permanent home! Girl talk about downsizing! 😂😂😂. We have been in this home for about 28 years. Talk about stuff stuff and more stuff. As soon as we have the new MH in place I have to start getting things out of this home! It will take at least a year to clean out and declutter this home before we can sell. But I am excited about the new home! I will be watching you for tips! You are adorable! Have a blessed day! 😀😀😀

First of all, I love your videos. Secondly, I love your way of thinking, its just progress that matters. Thirdly , if I could give you some advice that has helped me a ton, minimalism! not extreme, but I have lived with so much less than I used to and feel so much of my habits about cleaning and organizing has changed so much. Cleaning and organizing that would take me days or hours now is just a couple of minutes! I'm not kidding! It took me a lot of time to get to this point, but the sooner you start and the more ruthless you are, the more you realize you actually don't need to keep so much. But at the end of it all your kids are lucky to have a mom that cares so much and to always tries to better herself! Good luck! Thank you for your videos!

I am the complete opposite, I am a bit ocd about keeping my house clean and organized . I love my daughter but all I want to do when I go to her place is organize lol . I have learned a long time ago that it is her house and she is a grown adult , it is her space. She has been getting pretty good at keeping her house tidy the last year. I am so proud of her. 💖💖

I can’t get over how much of an inspiration you are to so many people. I’m not a mom, even though that is all I’ve ever wanted to be but I have severe PCOS, but I’m not letting it stop me. I’m getting healthier because I believe that god is good, all of the time. And I can’t do all things through him!
