Thank you so much for this breakdown. You don’t understand how helpful it is to hear this from a WCU alumni! I graduate next year and I just know these loans are going to creep up quickly, but this video has helped so much so that way there aren’t any crazy surprises.
Totally understand the struggle! I’m stuck with focusing on paying off loans but at the same time still being able to buy things for myself. What I’ve found helpful is to have a budget a month on things I can buy for myself 😅
Thank you soooo much for this!! I start West Coast in June 2022, and I just had my FAFSA meeting today. I was worried on how I was going to pay 30K, but you answered all my questions! Thanks again!!!
I just graduated from WCU and will be paying off student debt soon. Will take NCLEX soon and hope to get license to start making money to pay them off.
Thank you so much! I've been freaking out over tuition and being able to pay it. You really did ease my mind. Its what's been holding me back. Thank you so so much
Thank you so much for this video! I’m starting nursing school in less than two weeks and I’m trying to figure out how to pay for school since I have pretty much exhausted the federal loans. I am going to go look into some private loans and also save money to pay for the rest of school. Thanks again & I know you’ve already graduated and working, but congratulations!! 😊😊
Thank you for making this video! It was so helpful! Just wondering, were your clinicals only on weekdays or do they schedule clinicals on weekends too?
Hey! There are clinicals available during the weekends. A couple weeks before the term starts, you have something called "preferencing" where you preference your top 5 choices. They randomly assign you to your choice and it isn't guaranteed you will get what you want or preferenced.
Hi thank you for sharing your nursing school experience in detail! I wanted to ask you. Since you did your general classes ans prerequisites in a community college and you mentioned you removed the books, etc fees. How much was your total tuition fee if you dont mind me asking? I am interested in going to WCU and already finished my general classes and prerequisites. Thank you
Hey! It was around $34k for 2 semesters or 4 terms. If you take all your pre-reqs I believe you have about 10-12 terms? Starting next spring I have seen they will be increasing tuition by 2%
Thank you so much for this video, I am thinking about looking into WCU. I never really thought about going to WCU but things didn’t work out with CC. You mention tuition going up in spring, are you referring to sp22 or next year sp23?
do you recommend to do classes in a community college to save money? or should I go in? Ive been overthinking for a couple weeks about what I should do .
Hey! It depends on your goals. If you’re okay with waiting about 1-2 years and saving money, go to a community college. If you want to start right away and finish within 3 years but owe debt, go in.
@@nurse_krizia What route did you take ? I watched your videos and I didn't see which one you took. I want to start this august but I've only done 6 classes in community college and I want to get into the program already but I am scared to regret it later due to the debt we get.
@@ashleycanche6154 I went to UCI and had most of my pre-requisites done. I took anatomy, psych, Nd public speaking after I graduated from UCI at a local community college, which took me like 7 months.
I don’t have any co-signers to co-sign for me! It’s just myself. This is what scares me the most! I start West Coast in August and I don’t know if I will get approved for any private loans
Nope. Nothing is set in stone at that point. I made sure I asked that. Lol cause I was like what if I change my mind and I was also looking at another school. So I even signed my financial aid offer on how much I would pay during school and she was like nothing is set in stone until the first day of class when the tuition is due. Cause you have to make that payment before you start.
Comment down below and let me know what other topics you guys would like me to make a video on! Thank you again for watching and don't forget to like the video to support me!
A video on the moral on campus and with other students and teachers? Maybe also what it’s like being in clinical?. How do the other nursing students act? Are they helpful/competitive, etc?
Was your total amount for the whole time you were in school 32000 only ? I am only missing my anatomy abs physiology and microbiology so my tuition shouldn’t be too much more than 32000?
Honestly it depends, if you’re thinking of full out of pocket with no financial aid, a very very rough estimate of $3000-$4000 monthly. There’s many different payment plans. You can pay more at the beginning of the term to pay less monthly, etc.
@@nurse_krizia that must have been a lot ! But thanks for the reply! I am a new grad LVN trying to go to west coast but I’ve been sooo lagging it because of the money. You’re videos are very helpful :)

I clicked so fast when I saw this video! Thank you soooo much for being so detailed with real numbers! Your videos help me out a lot! ☺️
Yass! So happy to help out!
love you, you are so honest and you don't dance around the money question like some of the other youtubers
Thanks!!! I’m just now deciding how I want to pay off my loans but also I wanna enjoy the fruits of my labor!

Thank you so much for breaking down this!
Your videos are so helpful! Thank youuuuu 🙏🏼💕💕

How's pay btw as a new grad? did you have opportunities
Hey! I made a video on how much I make as a new grad with my current job.
ruclips.net/video/X1kTbYHuOGg/видео.html
What made you go private school? Is it the wait of getting in to the program? Thanks for this video, very informative.
Since you already had a Bachelors didn’t fafsa not give you much? I’m considering the ELMSN because I know I can get more if I get a masters.
Which loan did you end up going with? & what was your interest rate ?

Where did you get your private loan ??
did you take your prerequisite at a CC or just went straight to WCU?

How many months did it take you to complete the school, about 18 months or maybe a little longer

I’m independent but technically couldn’t be since I’m not 24. I don’t live with my parents . I’m 22
Did you get Pell grant or no ? Cuz this was your second bachelor if I heard correctly.
gurlll its like 39000 a year here at the LA campus lol :/

Hello, any update?!
How did you apply for a private loan? Did you apply for each trimester or everything at once for the whole program?
You apply for loans every 4 terms, just in case anything happens.
The best video regarding wcu financial side of things
Thank you for watching!! ☺️
Hello, I currently attend west coast and took out a lot of loans private and federal. Who do you refinance with? how do you refinance?
and when can you start refinancing?
Hi!!! I’m trying to take out a loan for WC for 29k but total amount of the loan with interest is 59k…. Like what?? How did you only accrue 10k??
this is the same issue I’m having :/
Once I sign all the documents on the application, am I still obligated to pay for tuition if I decide to not go to WCU after the FIN AID appointment!

That’s only covers the first term. there are 3 or 4 terms total, so every term you would be covering another 32k
