The voice of the century. There was Pavarotti and then the rest of pack chasing. They never caught him! He made this aria world famous even in the world of sport. Single handed! RIP Maestro. We will have to wait for your successor to be born……..
Everything appears normal - a large singer, hanging on to a piano, singing. But nothing is normal; this was the greatest male vocalist of all time and probably any time, at around his absolute peak, early to mid forties. This is a unique snapshot of very fleeting time that will never happen again.
He once said that he never could be as grat as Jussi Björling, the swedish tenor. ♥️ He never thought he could but, they both lived in another time.
I think when i see Pavarotti, that he looks very sweet and he's voice, are as nice as Björlings. ♥️
Perfect discribed……
Franco Corelli, Cortis…

Certainly the greatest Tenor of our lifetime.
He makes the absolute divine look effortless. There will never be another voice like LP!
Magnificent singing. Pavarotti owns this aria! ... and let us give a big hand to the accompanist...who did a beautiful job.
Perfect in every way, forever. Thank you, Maestro Pavarotti!
Wow! Supreme! What an interpretation, what a voice, what a performance! He enchants you with everything! The greatest tenor ever! A legend! Thanks so much for the rare video! Regards from Greece!

Amazing reception in Japan. Bravo!
How a tradermark aria Pavarotti gained legend. And more, what a time of the Golden Age, that was so rich of endless treasure chests opening, too. I am grateful of his mentorship to husband then, hearing his performances, and meeting his genuinely celebrated personality. Who could have guessed 'the secret out,' Luciano Pavarotti could not read music. The soul has an ordained memory. Bravo, Luciano Pavarotti, and miss that squillo...!🌹
The immense concentration and energy needed to sustain those notes… Wow! Absolutely thrilling; you can’t help but jump to your feet with applause after witnessing a performance of this magnitude.
Grazie 🥰

Wow, what a performance, such a great video, you can really hear in this video how powerful his voice was in his prime and how much it filled the auditorium. Simply sublime work from the maestro.
Now that's an encore! He gave them every last breath on the "Vincero"
BRAVISSIMO!!!!
THE STANDARD!!! BRAVISSIMO!!!
Thank you for this. Bravo, Pav, Bravo.
Truly epic
Wow! Absolutely incredible!!!!!
SuperVocalist!!!👍🏻👏🏻
He's been doing the damn thing since before I was born. What a man.

LIVE FROM LINCOLN CENTER - NESSUN DORMA - LUCIANO PAVAROTTI - 1979 PLEAAASEEEEEEEE!!!
AAAH, ME MUEROOO. POR FAVOR, POR LO QUE MÁS QUIERAS EN ESTE MUNDO, SUBÍ EL NESSUN DORMA DE PAVAROTTI EN EL LINCOLN CENTER DE 1979 CON BUEN SONIDO. AAAAAH... QUÉ DELICIA, DIOOS.
Love, love, love
Bravo!!! What a gift.
I wish there were more videos of him from the late 60s. And early 70s. I wish there was a video of him when he made his American debut in Miami in I think 1966. Also video of him when he went on tour with Joan Sutherland to Australia in the 60s.
Pavarotti owns Nessun Dorma. Never anyone like him.
Te adoro angel mio ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I second that....WOW!!!
Bravo. Maestro Pavarotti embodying Calaf in this aria. It's no wonder his Nessun Dorma is the most played version.
If you like Pav’s version, check out Corelli. You will like his too.
@@ClergetMusic I've seen a clip of Corelli's version. I do like it but Pav's is still my favorite.
1 Franco Corelli = 30 Pavarotti
@@e.g.8454 Corelli is better than Pav I'll admit that and if I could find a remaster of Corelli's version I'd listen to it all the time. Of the versions I can find the sound quality in Pav's is better but that's only cuz his are newer recordings.
@@Pearl-2003 Pavarotti small voice, large tonnage.

The pianist should let the singer breathe
Oh really? That’s a great idea.
That's Pavaroti singing, the poor piano was out of breath...
💗
When you say “Elvis“ everyone in the world knows who you’re talking about. And such it was and still is with “Pavarotti”
🤲❤

Tieee!!! Capovolgilo
Pav was born with god voice into him

The pianist is playing too loud
I don't know anything about recordings or how they are managed but the piano was too loud in this one.
Great voice, terrible accompanist. 😕
How do you mean?
@@TenoreMr he's grandstanding. He's performing he's not listening to Pavarotti. He's giving his own performance and it has nothing to do with the singer. As a singer I've experienced this too and it's a nightmare. The singer should not have to follow the pianist it's the other way around. You'll notice in the crescendo the Pianist is rushing and Pavarotti's trying to take his time as he should. But he can't if he's going to stay in sync with the accompaniment. This is what I mean. Accompanists are there to serve the singer not the other way around.
I completely agree with this. I was suffering watching him rush
I agree. I think that is another reason, other than the obvious, that Pavarotti held the last note so long, bordering on unmusical. The singing was lovely, but the pianist rushed too much.
Franco Corelli insuperável nesta obra
tERRIFYING Ai
What are you on about?
The piano is god awful... rambling tunelessly in the background... Pavarotti is magnificent in spite of it
