A cool fact about Portal Flash version is that it came out a few days before the actual Portal came out. The devs basically made the whole game with a couple of trailers as refrence, and later had their chambers put into the Xbox 360 version of Portal.
There's actually a whole video essay about the Portal Flash game, the following Portal mods and the Xbox maps made by the Flash developer. They ended up influencing Portal 2 development. Made them feel like they hadn't explored portals enough. When the F-Stop mechanic was becoming the main focus in development due to its complexity, they gave up on it because they thought Portal 2 should be about portals. Seeing and playing the Xbox maps also influenced the decision.
