Really enjoyed it. Some things I thought were the Suez Canal and having to control both sides for navy to use but that troops can still cross it. Also bombardments with battleships and cruisers - remembering to use these. Bombers only defending on a 1.
Great video! I have a request. Can you please make a multi-round strategy guide for Russia? I keep playing in ranked games and get taken out by round 3, even though I'm buying artillery with my infantry. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, it seems like Germany is just so overpowered in the beginning against Russia. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!!
i like to be a bit aggressive and give it my all to defend archangel and west russia (leaving about 7 infantry on caucases, hoping the british can somehow help). Eventually you start to see that the Germans are having trouble, but the Japanese keep getting closer and closer. I think that with this strategy Russia should last to at least round 5 (mabey more if the british pressure Japan and divert their troops and resources). If the Russians get no help then they will fall fast.
My tip: play with the Low Luck Dice option; it will ensure your large invasion force will at least be moderately successful no matter what dice get rolled!
If you hold shift and right click on any of the diamond shapes with the numbers in the middle - it will cancel that action. Or click on any diamond, and you can press the red X to cancel the action. Once you've ended the phase though all actions are permanent
When you play a single person game, which do you play on the allies side to have the best chance of winning? When I play USSR, the USA and UK seem to drag their feet in ,mud and I get overrun by Germany no matter how well I hold them off. When I play UK or USA, the USSR computer player over extends itsself offensively and doesn't give me a chance to get there. What do you think?
Play America and send fighter planes to moscow. Their strong defensive unit that really add teeth to russian infantry getting attacked. That should buy you the time you need to get your own ground forces into the battlespace
If you're only playing one, USA is probably the most effective in the hands of the human player. Since you're last in turn order, you can adjust your strategy based on what happened r1. The US also generates more IPCs at the beginning of the game and has more time to plan how to use them effectively since it's going to be at least a couple of turns until they can launch an assault on anything meaningful.
France????? Would they be Axis? They just rolled over, and from the stores I heard from a family member who was in the Battle of the Buldge, he said the Italians and others were more kind and appreciative then all the French he encountered combined. He was not on the front line since he got sent over after fighting the Japanese for most of the war. He fought in the only Battles where American soil was taken (The Battle for the Aleutian Islands; Kiska, Addack(?), Attu). He said beside the battles to take back the Islands, the worst people to deal with during the war were the French. Not my words. But I do believe there is a version (board) that started earlier and you had other countries to choose from. Sounds cool, but I think it was just a bit too much for the age group.
@@idiotheroes6479 Vichy French. A lot to unpack with that. I recommend the Time Ghost WW2 series that is currently ongoing right now for some of the history.

Good points, might have to compile a list and do a second part of this
Good tip is to pratice the controls to be able to do the multiple stage attacks.
Appreciated the tips and I found them helpful. The often random panning and zooming in/out of the map though was distracting.
Nice video and explanation. Thank you!

InstaBlaster

Well done you!
How do you take back a move online?

This looks pretty sad. The 1942 verson I played had Italy and some other things that made the game much more fun.
its really hard to watch with you twich moving the screen for no reason every 2 seconds. why ?
Just to annoy you specifically :)

No Italy, France or Australia? Very disappointing.
Oh are they nations you can play as in a different version? Would be interesting to have more options
@@manix429 Yes in 1940 global you could play as those.

You gotta cut down the mumble time friend.
