I love the balance between IVE's cute version and their edgy version when the chorus hits as they have that demonic emoji outline in the background as they basically try to live their best lives despite the mindless hate they receive. And also, in a way, the chorus sounds like "kids of the 90s" and I think the clothes go really well with the 90s, especially the baseball jackets? Either way it's a big SLAP in the face to the unloved haters, 🤣🤣. I'm in love with this chorus and love their energy as always!😍👏👏

I really really loved this comeback but for some unknown and bandwagon reason a lot of ppl are hating on it. I’m a Gaeul bias too so she really made me happy. However, it’s like ppl want different sounds from artists that sound good and when the artists do switch it up then ppl are like oh they hate the sound… ppl even complained that IVE is using the word wrong in the song. I swear there’s a few ggs who can never catch a break from constant over the top and odd hate and IVE is one of them. At least it’s doing well on Korean charts though. Also, Kitsch is an early 20th-century word borrowed from the German language and it refers to things in the realm of popular culture that are artistically tacky, like car mirror dice, plastic flamingos, and dashboard hula dancers. The significance here is that these items, styles, trends, or garnishes are usually praised in ironic, weird, sentimental, and even appreciative ways. Almost like a tacky art that holds much value. The members are expressing their own artistic and authentic aesthetic through the use of this word.
This song is just a pre-release, the actual comeback is on the 10th of April. The song is already nr. 1 on all music platforms, close to getting a PAK hopefully. It’s definitely a grower for some people, I loved it from the get go but I see for some the switch up catches them a little off guard, kinda like the ‘narcissistic’ switch up in Love Dive. WHICH YES! This song or the upcoming era is supposed to be a continuation to Love Dive so you guessed that right!

And regards liz, I don't know what sse was thinking for this b-side she had only 5.8-9 sec of lines and very less screen time! All the other members have given equal amount of lines :( Though from the other two b-sides ive spoiled during their fancom we know liz has the most no. of lines in those so i'm hoping in title track she get's treated the same!
More info about the album - a track called "heroine" is fully written by yujin; rei and gaeul always write their own raps and they did in kitsch too!

Doesn’t seem like anyone else said it, but the previous title of the track was 90s Bitch, which gives an idea of what Kitsch probably means.
