    Titleist 718 AP3. My all time hands down favourite irons ever. If you're a low to mid hc, you will never *ever* need to purchase any other irons..ever. Titleist did such a good job on this model (718 AP Series) that anything after this series is moot. The 718 AP series is undoubtedly the best iron set ever designed. As I progress (or digress) the only thing I change is the shafts and swing weights. The heads are timeless.

      i couldn’t agree more. i lucked out that these were my second set of irons after i got into golf. i dont expect to replace them anytime soon

    How is it hitting with a section of the ceiling removed? Do you find that the truss spacing is too tight and you’re concerned about hitting it? (Assuming it’s either 16” or 24”?) are you able to hit driver?

      its better with the drywall removed but it doesn't fix the problem completely. I still barely nick one of the trusses from time to time - about once every 50 swings. my spacing is 24" on center which helps a lot but you will still move your stance then unexpectedly be in the wrong spot just in the right way to reach the truss. i was able to swing my driver even before I removed the drywall but its definitely better with the drywall removed. I still plan to modify two of the trusses into the scissor style and make a cathedral ceiling for more comfort but that's down the road and isn't my top priority

    The GC Quad is camera based. It doesn't read the ball flight, so I don't think it needs that 12 feet

      you are right. the monitor itself doesnt need more than a few feet of ball flight. i will correct that in the video

      that's not the only hole in that room my guy, theres a reason why I have all the curtains up lol. setting up this sim has been a process for sure

      Yea I just got mine. I hit into a spornia Spg-7, and being 8 feet away is pushing the comfort zone lol

      oh shit. I'm guessing because of space constraints? Do you have the option to expand the space with time? I have plenty of space around me but I have the issue of smacking the shit out of my ceiling every once in a while so Im working on modifying my roof trusses next

    It is such a great idea to move the sim with an angle to create extra length for the launch monitor! Thanks! btw, does 9ft ceil be enough for a driver swing? I am 5'7" with 45" driver

      thanks Paul. yes, 9' is a great height for a driver swing. I wish I had a 9' ceiling like you lol

    nice video. My ceiling is 8 feet 4 inches. I need just one more inch, please no michael scott jokes haha. that way i would stop bumping ceiling. I probly ding it every other session. My mat is 1.5 inches. is there a good mat that is skinny like half inch. Really want a quality mat tho not some cheap crap as mats are super important to me.

      hey ryan. one thing you could do is just have the mat under the ball so your feet are on the ground which should give you just a bit of extra clearance. you dont really need the mat under your feet except for just the convenience of having a flat surface for the ball

    Video was basically useless as he spent most of the time talking about ceiling height and nothing about space to set up the net or other factors. If you gotta talk taking out the ceiling and resetting the trusses to get added height you may as well buy a utility shed/workshop style building to put in your back yard that has the dimensions you need.

      Sorry you feel that way Tim. This video is about space requirements and the ceiling height is one of the make or break things for a lot of people and most have an 8' ceiling which is why I put so much emphasis on it. I would be very upset if I put $8k+ into a setup only to find out that I would hit the ceiling with my clubs. You're right though, I spent a little too much time reiterating that point. That was one of my first videos as a content creator.

      Your ceilings are on 8 feet ? Also can you swing your driver in there and how tall are you roughly? My basement is a little under 8 feet it’s 7’8 just wondering if I’d have enough space being 5’10

    • @golfdynasty
      @golfdynasty  Год назад +1

      @eliasmichalopoulos1595 yes my ceiling is just shy of 8’. im 5’ 10” and i can swing my driver fine even though i will still graze the ceiling from time to time. i made a more recent video about this topic specifically
