BCCI wanted him to remain as test captain but he denied since white ball captaincy was set to go with Rohit. Whatever it might be, but I don't believe a sport a fighter like him will depend upon his captaincy to perform well. Yes I admit confidence might have been gone down for sure but we just hope him & Rohit to do well again.

Bt when the sun bite the pitch, its alive again. It was the toughest & dangerous pitch i had ever seen in cricket. I saw the series live.
