    Thank you for your honesty in these reviews/updates, we've had a couple of warranty claims as well and luckily not big issues but there's no repairers for 2 hours from where we live so makes us a little hesitant to make claims. The Dometic fridge door issue is a long standing issue with Dometic and even though they're good to deal with it's a long standing issue that I think their R&D department needs to look into just so they're not making the fridges with flimsy clips in the first place. Your candid videos are very informative. I really enjoy your travel content as well. Thanks again

      Thanks so much!
      I've been hearing that the dometic fridge doors is an ongoing problem. Hopefully they are trying to rectify that for future models 🤞
      Fingers crossed for you for no more issues

    Hey Jess After hearing of your experience, feel for you. At the same time the best thing we ever did was cancel desert storm build .We have now owned our new Sunland phoenix for 6 months and it’s an absolute dream. ( about $100,000 more) but money well spent. Sunland were amazing to deal with, no bullshit excuses from them at anytime during our 12 month wait, unlike the other company we cancelled with. This experience was exactly how you dream the wait should be. We are over the moon with our van.
    We joying watching your travels.

    Thanks for sharing. Sadly we paid a lot of money for caravans. So would expect fairly good warranty support. Seems to be across most brands.

    You are so lucky you are still in a warranty period. We bought our RV around covid so we couldn't travel during that time. So when the borders opened and we started travelling and started finding faults, we were told they were out of the warranty period. They did fix a couple of items but talk about getting blood out of a stone. The van industry is so crooked, especially the money you pay these days. It should be like the car industry where if there is a common problem, there should be a mass recall offered. 🤠🤙

    NO caravan, full offroad or not can withstand the punishment of Australias corrigated outback roads. The thin aluminium strips meant to hold most things fitted inside caravans are nowhere ample enough to carry much weight. Good on you guys for keeping a list and actually claiming warranty on some of the damaged - broken items. Yes caravan builders / sales will try to get out of paying for most warranty claims. You've done well.

    We appreciate your transparency, we have a van being built buy urban and I’ll be looking extra hard at handover. Are marvel built by Titanium?

    • @trippinaroundoz
      @trippinaroundoz  7 месяцев назад +1

      Try and view it before handover. There is lots going on during that time and you don't really have time to look. We went and viewed prior and found some issues which gave them time to fix them before handover

      Our van was built by great aussie caravans.
      Sold by Sunseeker but they also sell Sunseeker Vans which are built by titanium

    Your consumer rights last more than 12 months. Forget their warranty. Australian Consumer Law clearly says items must be of merchantable quality. A caravan by its very nature let alone the considerable cost clearly should last more than 12 months. The items in a caravan should last years or decades. So stand firm about your rights. These type of companies are looking to just make it hard for you so you give up. Sorry but this company seems dodgy as hell. Glad you have a channel to highlight it.

    Well hey, we had a number of issues which were fixed BUT HEAR THIS…..we took it for a service and they reversed it into another van and smashed our van and now it needs to be stripped down with huge amount of replacement panels inside and out🤦🏼‍♀️
    If I didn’t love our van I’d get out now….
