    Love, love, love this detail!!! YOU ROCK! Just 1 question, when the front heddle is in the up position is the back heddle in neutral or down? That part is kind of hard to tell and I'm not all that experienced at weaving. I assume in neutral since it then goes to both down. Excellent video, love your detailed look at groupings of threads. Thank you for also showing how the thread path through the second heddle should look...the whole video was presented nicely. Not a fan of the fast paced energetic music while trying to concentrate on what you are doing but thats what the silent button is for :D New sub!! Would love more patterned towels this is great, can't wait to try it out....Lovely equipment by the way, you are quite the Fiber Queen!! It's a wonderful world!😘

      Thanks and yes when heddle one is up the other is in neutral position, great question. Sorry about the music, not sure if silence is better or my mindless rambling. LOL. I'll try to share more as I experiment with other patterns.

      @@JeneratedDesigns Jen, thanks so much for your quick reply and dedication to us newbies, I love most of the music the fast paced is a little rough but others probably love it, no worries..didn't mean to be critical..I'm just kinda old and concentration isn't as easy as it once was..

    Was there a reason your warp and weft were different weights?

    • @JeneratedDesigns
      @JeneratedDesigns  11 месяцев назад

      No just personal preference, you can use all the same weight yarn.

      @@JeneratedDesigns Thank you! I get my first loom tomorrow, so I’m trying to learn.

      I don't tend to follow the "rules", I like to experiment. But using the same weight yarn will provide you with an even sett, changing the thickness or doubling the yarn changes the sett. This can affect how your finished fabric drapes. Thicker more densely packed will create stiffer fabric, and even sett usually gives a nice flowing fabric. Happy weaving!

      Not sure I understand the question, but yes this was all done on a rigid heddle loom using 2 heddles.
