This is one of the most popular and funny gmod machinimas. Unfortunately, the creator, Kitty0706, died of ALS. This was a kind of tribute of their work for the tf2 community and the impact they left on us.
Thank you and the team for a cool demo! My Discord mod made me aware of some of the references that were pointed out in the mod. It's unfortunate to hear about Kitty and my condolences go out to them and their family too. I hope the mod progresses smoothly!
at last.....you've played PEAK. also i might as well give some context: - The opponent in Force-A-Nature is one of the Offense classes in-game, the Scout. The Bonk notes are based on one of Scout's pieces of secondary equipment, the BONK! Atomic Punch, which will make him invincible for a few seconds, but will slow him down afterwards. - Iron Bomber's opponent is one of the Defense classes, the Demoman. In-universe, he's portrayed as an alcoholic, which is why he becomes furious when BF destroys his bottle of scrumpy. - In Infiltrator, the opponent is one of the Support classes, the Spy. The knife notes seen throughout the song are a nod to the backstab - arguably the Spy's most powerful technique, if you use his knife on an enemy from behind, they instantly die. The mechanic where the notes disappear is a reference to the Spy's ability to cloak (become invisible). - Contracked stars Miss Pauling, a supporting character in TF2. She doesn't appear much in-game, but does appear a LOT in the comics and other miscellaneous material, like the animation Expiration Date where she plays a particularly major role. She's the assistant of the Administrator, who basically oversees the fights & all of that. She often relays information to the mercenaries regarding new contracts. - Grease Monkey is based on an animation called Team Fabulous 2, particularly a scene where the BLU Soldier uses his boot as a phone to call the BLU Engineer, who answers with a banana (they're both right next to each other btw). The animation was made by a user named kitty0706, who sadly passed away in 2015 from leukemia. - Classics is based around Team Fortress 2 Classic, a mod of TF2 that introduces features from Team Fortress Classic (a mod of the game Quake that precedes TF2 by about 8 years). The main opponent is the Civilian, a character in TF2C who can be seen on VIP maps. In the VIP mode, the BLU team are tasked with protecting him while the RED team must kill him. - In the video, you only did the Civilian's route of the song. However, failing to collect enough money (less than $1000) before the Civilian's section ends will add a new section featuring the Mercenary, a character from another TF2 mod called Open Fortress. The reason he's in the song despite not being from the same mod is because....well, he used to be. The Mercenary was originally a part of TF2 Classic before being moved to Open Fortress. (sorry for the long post btw, just thought i'd give a lil context lmao)

You NEED to watch a LOT of TF2 videos (and its fanmade ones like the Civilian/Mercernary track, and Grease Monkey) in your free time, and probably play the game just a little bit (in which you'd probably be bad at it) I'm glad that you played the Vs Mann Co V2 Demo, Crafty! The previous version does have content, but the tracks are... not good (I'm thankful for not playing those versions of the mod...).
I have a suggestion for a game you can play if you haven't done this already, then you don't have to do it again if you haven't though try out the Henry stickman collection. It's a lot of fun and I think you would enjoy it.
