මෙම ගීතය ගැයු මුල් ගායකයා, නෙවිල් ප්‍රනාන්දු, කලු දිය දහර චිත්ත්‍ර පටය.මේ දරුවා නොදන්නවා ඇති,නමුත් කැලුම් ඔබට අමතක වීම දුකක්,ඔහුගේ සහෝදරය තාම අප අතර ඉන්නවා.ඔහු එරොල් ප්‍රනාන්දු.තවත් කෙනෙක් ඔහු නිහාල් සිල්ව.ඔවුන්ගෙන් අහල ඇත්ත දැනගන්න.නීලාට නිවන් සුව පතන අතර මේ දියනියට මගේ සුබ පැතුම්.
ඉතාම සන්තෝෂයි ඔබ මේ ගීතයේ මූලය හෙළිදරව් කළාට. මේ ගීතය මුලින්ම ගායනා කලේ නෙවිල් ප්‍රනාන්දු 'කළු දිය දහර' කියන චිත්‍රපටියට, 1974 දී කරුනාරත්න අබේසේකරගේ පද රචනයට. ඉතාම කනගාටු දේ තමයි නීලා මේ ගීතය 1980 ගණන් වලදී මුල් අයිතිකරුවන්ගෙන් අවසර නැතිව ගායනා කළා පමණක් නොව ඔවුන්ට කෘත වේදී බවක් වත් කිසිදා දැක්වූයේ නෑ ! හේතුව 80 ගණන් වලදී ගීතවලට copyright නීතිය ලංකාවේ තිබුනේ නෑ, අනික නෙවිල්, කරූ ඒ වන විට මිය ගිහිල්ලා, නිමල් මෙන්ඩිස් ලන්ඩනයේ පදිංචියට ගිහිල්ලා. ඒ විතරක් නොවෙයි, අද ඉන්න නිවේදකයෝ පවා දන්නේ නෑ මේ ගීතය නෙවිල්, නිමල් , කරූ සුසංයෝගයක් කියලා! ඉතාම ලැජ්ජයි!!
ප.ලි.: මෙහිම ඉංග්‍රීසි ගීතයකුත් තියෙනවා 'Master Sir' කියලා Sandra Edema සහ නිමල් මෙන්ඩිස් ගායනා කල. නිමල් තමා මේ චිත්‍රපටියේ සංගීත නිර්මාණය කලේ. මනික් සන්ද්‍රසාගර කියන සිනමා විප්ලව වාදියා අධ්‍යක්ෂණය කල, ඉතාම ඉහල කලාත්මක නිර්මාණයක් වුවද ලංකාවේ මිනිසුන් මාසයක් යනකොට එම නිර්මාණය සිනමා ශාලා වලින් විසි කළා. හැබැයි, අද නැවත එය තිර ගත කලොත් නම් දින 100ක් නෙවෙයි 200ක් ම දුවනවා. කනගාටුව නම් මුල් නිර්මාණයේ කෑල්ලක් වත් අද හොයා ගන්න නැති එකයි.
