Happy Birthday! Would have loved to seen some footage of breaking camp and getting out in the snow storm. Was it at night? I've been eye-balling that area outside of Smith Rock for a possible trail run into the park and then back out.
Broke down about 30 min after Coffee scene it was definitely not easy but got out before dark. I saw 2 trail runners going up the Butte on the main trail and a friend told me you can actually hike from smith rock to here on a designated trail but I am not sure which one.
The hikes you do are great ! Overnight in the snow is always an adventure. Great views from the top. Impressive trip ! Big thumbs up from me!

This was totally off the cuff i was not planning on doing gray butte but it just worked out that day and ended up being an amazing adventure.
