There are many spots where its too dangerous to get out, fast moving traffic, intersection, freeway with no stopping lane. In most of these situations, dont pick it up, youll get yourself killed, wait & go round, call the police or road authorities. Most people would think better to risk going over it than getting splattered by a car/truck.

Unfortunately many tradies (and others) think ladders are fine if they hook one of the rungs over.... Well... whatever happens to be there. Sometimes it's part of the ladder rack, and sometimes it's a shovel handle wedged between some other junk that's also not tied down.
And of course, many get away with it for hundreds, maybe even thousands of trips.... Until it launches off one day. Which they'll put down to being a freak event, learn nothing, and keep doing it.

1:04 ....?? They were very lucky. You can see at 1:11 that the load is on the back (axle) of the trailer. Usually it is split between the double axles. 60% on the rear axle, and 40% on the front axle. Those ratchet straps can come loose as well when the load settles! I use electricians tape to stop this. This is a good reminder for all of us to take care. Great videos, and many thanks.
